I'm thinking of heading over to Pollard's to see if there was any reason he was the first victim. I'll then see if we can track down any of his and Turk's families.
I guess we might want to try going after the Subterraneans again. The problem I see is how this connects to the odd behavior of the victims. That and finding them.

I have a little theory, but I don't have enough evidence to phone it into Dour yet. Burke said that the killer had a strange aura about him, which sounds to me a bit like the aura that Necanthropes can produce. The fact that the killer seems to be jumping from victim to victim makes me wonder if at some point an Ebon/Brain Waster has gone into the White and somehow managed to find a way to come back in spirit form.
Reckon I should run that past our scary benefactor?
Also, I'll head back to you lot at the tunnel then.

Deject: Nothing apparent in SLA's records indicate any kind of connection, apart from that they were both victims of the same killer. You do find the report from Zen Headbutt though.
Don't let me discourage you all from delving deeper into this, just because you don't need to for the BPN. SLA is all about layers of intrigue, and you could complete this one without ever knowing or caring what happened. I'm well aware of the circumstances around the BPN, and can wing stuff forever, providing a steady dribble of information that adds to the overall picture. In this case it has been leading you away from the actual written parts and you've kind of lost sight of the objective, but I don't see that as bad judgement on the players' part as sometimes you need to investigate in depth before taking things on.

We're on the trail of the killer now, but the reason behind the killings is frustratingly unapparent at the moment. I've tried looking into the history of the killings but I feel like I'm getting nowhere. I thought that by looking into the past it might give us some clue as to what we're dealing with here.
I have had one theory though. The previous squad that supposedly took this killer down reported that he had an unsettling aura around him - this immediately reminded of the trait that certain Necanthropes such as yourself possess. Combined with the fact that the killer seems to "jump" from victim from victim has made me wonder if perhaps someone has come back from beyond the White, albeit in an as yet unrecognised form.
Do you know if this is possible, and do you have any theories of you own so far? I'm sorry to ask but I'd really like to unravel this one.
Dour wrote:I have a theory, but it is not your 'Ebb Spirits'. That does have some merit though. I would like to discuss this in person, I think I will come to you. Your investigation has given me reason to think my initial fears were correct. Or were they hopes. I shall think about this on my way. Find your killer while I travel, observe him. He will be the one who smiles. I will find you, Mr Gently.
