Just watched this. kinda tomorrow's world meets vaguely mythbusters (in that they make random shit) and feels a bit like it'll never work.

not sure, but has potential. also not sure who it's aimed at, doesn't seem to be quite suited to kids or adults, but that was just the impression I got.
A VORTEX ON FUCKING FIRE? KNOCKING WALLS OVER WITH BASTARD AIR?
I know who this is aimed at. It's me.

Hmm, it follows Top Gear's format of having a big challenge interspaced with other bits, the problem it has is that the presenting team doens't have the witty banter of Top Gear, nor the underlying theme of cars. Science is too broad an area, if they stuck to one aspect per show it might work in that format though.

The first bounced from physics to biology to physics again with a dash of chemisty thrown in and there was nothing much linking them together.

Bit science lite compared to tomorrows worls, not quite enough SCIENCE! compared to mythbusters.

Some fun things on there presented with slightly too much relentless enthusiasm.

Good time filler though.

Ep was good. I think the Fi drama is going to end next week with the Season Finale or it could carry on to next season but I doubt it. I do agree that it got quite a bit annoying but I did enjoy it this episode.

Did the season seem quick?

It's not a finale next week afaik, just a long break like last year.

You are correct sir! Summer half finale and then Winter half coming in....Winter. Also, 4th Season confirmed!
BURN NOTICE RENEWED FOR 4TH SEASON

With the summer half of Burn Notice's third season coming to a close, and the winter half only a few months away, you may be wondering: What comes after that? Put your mind at ease, because we're making it official: Burn Notice will be returning for a 4th Season of 16 episodes in 2010!

Eureka,
Spoiler:
Ghostbusters-style
.

I'm a little worried about it though, was it a friday night show last season as well? 'Cause friday is known to be the slaughterhouse of series...

Okay, Big Bang Theory Bang Goes The Theory episode 2 was on a little while ago.

It's a bit meh.
I think it's too short at 30 minutes, it needs to be an hour and go more into the Science! behind what they're covering.

F'instance the water jetpack simply mentioned pressure and that the pipes were used to increase the pressure, all it required was a minute or so to explain how a fixed flow amount and rate when put through a smaller diameter pipe/nozzle will come out with a greater pressure at the end. Simple stuff, but they didn't mention it.

Quite suprising for a Open University sponsored program with a set of "qualified" scientists on it.

Edit: Apologies for spelling errors, but for some reason the spelling part of my brain has broken this evening.
Edit2: I can't even get the title right

:above: what buzz said, but less retarded.

It still strikes me as rather un-targeted, everything's pretty interesting, but they just seem to mention stuff, and go into little detail.

Interesting, but not in a deep and meaningful way.

Man v. Food got a 2nd season.

Makes me happy, massively unhealthy food in portions that I couldn't manage. :)

This is good. I like that Jimmy NcNulty is a maverick in the '30 and '40 as well.

Excellent, think I'll watch season one again interspersed with some red dwarf.

It is a massive tribute to gluttony. Sometimes he goes to places that are great, but usually I'd rather watch Anthony Bourdain or something like that.
