Or in other words, the suits rushed the development to try and capitalise on the name until someone plainly pointed out that any small gain in sales from releasing it early will be destroyed by a buggy and incomplete game as people won't buy it once the reviews hit the 'net.

Well...its nice to think that they care more about the product than the money. Also shows you that they're not failing as a company and can put the time into it.

That's the thing, I don't think they DO care about the actual product.

They care about money, and they know now that the backlash from a buggy and poor game will do more damage than a just a poor game because it'll affect the sales next title as well.

end result is the same, a finished game, so who gives a fuck if they care?

The way I see it is...caring about the money=caring about the game and viceversa. Who knows what they are actually doing.

I'm just happy the company isn't failing or else they would just toss us an unfinished/buggy game just to get quick cash.

Well they make most money around Christmas time, so a delay past then can't have been an easy decision, and I guess it only really means an October release would have been of an unacceptably broken/reduced release.

I'm hoping for a little more content in this one, the first while good didn't last all that long and even the extra plasmids in the patch haven't had me replaying it too often - think I've been through it twice in total.

From the interviews Ken Lavine has given, I think at least he does care about making a good game.

Seems to have been freed from a few constraints imposed in the first game. He did make the best levels and most fucked up puzzles so I would rather he took his time and made a truly mind fuck adventure. Seems that he's doing just that.

Multiplayer would be nice.
