Well, appealing to the devs seems to have worked! We've been sent a special 5punk referral code that will help us get in as a group and link up nicely.

Dude called Chad has pinged me back with
Dude called Chad wrote:I have created a special "Referral Code" for 5punk, which your guild members can use to give them priority access in our Alpha/Beta approval process. This code can be entered when your players apply for the Beta on www.globalagendagame.com.

The code is: This is not the code, go for a pint in the waugh!

Please protect this referral code and ensure that it does not find its way onto publicly facing websites or forums or in the hands of non-guild members or players that you do not want to join the beta. If you have players that have already applied for beta, they can update their application with the referral code by visiting http://www.globalagendagame.com/GAregister/default.aspx.

This is not a code.

Can people who have already signed up for the beta apply the new code?

Er, I already put the code in the Waugh. It's in the fred below this one. I put this in the moong section so it'd get more peeps looking at it.

Fantastic work Pete. This alone has me interested in the game, plus your recommendations that it has 5punky potential. To the Waugh Room!

Well the piss take elf film that pnut upped lead me to think the game would possess a fair amount of stupid humour. Which is always good.

I feel this may be a little too similar to the aims of kotormong however, given it's a faction led, multi-faceted let the players create the empires kind of game.

It looks to me like Tabula rasa but with actual fun in and some lovely fps shooter game play in there too.

It looks a lot like UT3 put in a blender with a handful of crazy and a hint of original.

They're going to enter beta very soon, then they will rapidly start inviting testers. Alphas tend to be pretty unplayable anyway, though coming to think of it, broken can be fun.

:above: There is that. But if it's constantly just ctd'ing it's not fun it's just rage inducing. I do like early betas where you can truly horribly break things like geometry or create questing dupes with the engine itself being pretty stable so you can push it quite hard and have one bit fail not all of it.

The auction currency problem on AoC was a great source of money, shame they got all stroppy and banned people for violating eula when it was their mistake because it really was a continuation of the beta when it launched.

Looks good, first wave of beta testers are going in the end of this month going by their FAQ.

I really, really hope they put a way to synchronise your dances like guild wars;

I'd guess starting at the same time might work quite well...

You'd be surprised how difficult that is, in guild wars you could put a * after emotes, so they'd sync or interact properly, was a very nice touch.
