It was better than the average non-finale episode.

Exactly.... I don't like this show. And Robot Chicken sucked too which was done by Seth Green using all his buddies from family guy including Seth Macfarlane. The only good thing about it was the intro song. LITERALY did all the same jokes as family guy, but with barbie dolls and clay. It is all a total rip off and btw *gasp* family guy has gone down hill :/ Massive fan of the earlier stuff though, but it has basically jumped the shark.

At best I find Family Guy mildly amusing. Some people at work seem to think it's the funniest thing ever to be created, and they love to quote lines from it in unconvincing American accents.

Well, I don't know the english equivalent for it, but there's something in hungarian we say to this - "tastes and slaps". Basically, I may like it and you may like something else I don't.

"Horses for courses" is possibly similar enough. I think we have others, but that one is a relatively common expression here.

"to each his own" ?

Family Guy and Robot Chicken seem to be hit or miss yet always seem to have some good bits to it. They were awesome the first few season but, after the freshness is gone...you see how much talent the writers really have...

I dunno, I watch those shows as filler, they're not super great, but they have their moments.

What I don't like about people pointing out every single flaw of a show is that it will eventually cause one of those "Oh.." moments. I keep watching the show but whatever flaw is mentioned, I'm subconsciously looking out for it and realize that it actually sucks.

Otherwise, you brought up fair points and you didn't say anything I didn't know already :P

And finally...

Bastards cancelled The Beast an A&E crime drama with Patrick Swayze.

It was quite good and violent. Prolly too violent for A&E. I wonder if some other network will pick it up.

Probably because Patrick Swazye has terminal testicular cancer and is pretty fucked up as a result. He really looks bad, and is probably in a lot of pain. :(

He probably is, yet doesn't go on and on on about how horrible etc. it all is.

Ouch.. to the Jade goody thing:p

Not to say that Patrick Swayze deserves anything but I used to work at an airport for private aicraft and I received his plane etc etc And the dude was with us for about 45 minutes or so and must have smoked at least a pack of cigarettes in that time. Serious smoker... and even possibly contributed to the link I am posting below. He always looked soooo healthy but apparently he has/had a lot of addictions. crazy.

I met him in 2005? after he drunk crashed his airplane in 2000 and survived :p amazing http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/08 ... ayze1.html

I suddenly found myself out of series to catch up on and summer means there's even less on TV so any suggestions? I'm thinking one sitcom and one action-type or non-CSI-boring investigative "drama".
