I am at univrsity in accomodation and th bastards have given us a 14.4 K net connection
. It takes ten minutes to load anything 5punk related so i am totally bollocksed when it comes to online multiplayer games
Just a note to say that when possible forum polstage shall occur but MPG's are off the menu 'til about christmas at least.

It is a very bad dialup although the other night I managed to achieve a rather speedy 44 K connection *audience oohs and ahhs* What the fuck are they doing here??

You could try this thing:
http://www.onspeed.com/ aparently it gets broadband speeds out of your dialup connection by compressing stuff before downloading it. It wont help your gaming pings but it'll make interweb browsing faster, or so they tell you.

(delvinf into my memory of 9600baud UBERmodems)
