Any ideas on if they've reworked the infinitely spawning AI mechanic that everyone except for me seemed to hate?
I had no issues with it, what with me not being a ponce and pushing to the next objective.

I hated it with a passion. No skill to it, just speed-runs. However, I'll be getting it for the multiplayer (should I ever get to play multiplayer again), so I don't really care.

I disagree, kinda.

I found it made you keep moving at a reasonable pace, rather hiding in a safe corner and waiting for stuff to come to you and die.

I don't really consider it a matter of skill being present in one and not the other. But I'd consider running and gunning more difficult than hiding and waiting for the bad guys to come to you.

General idea was always to dig yourself in and crawl for every inch. Kind of worked. Add into the rage: Civilian casualties. Good god no. Just no.

I disliked the way you seemed to meet the brunt of the enemy, causing you to hold off a bit, when infact you were supposed to charge right at them and they would magically stop spawning.

I only really noticed that at one point in the game - An urban warfare bit where you were both behind bits of a ruined wall. I sat there in stalemate, running out of ammo for a good five minutes before I spotted stairs I was meant to climb.

Otherwise it just made it feel like our awesome SAS squad vs the world, which was good in most places.

I was mostly annoyed with the respawning by them spawning behind you in area's you'd cleared.

Infront is fine, behind is not, perhaps one or two people, but not a full on wave which happened in some points.

The respawning was just bloody stupid - it felt like they'd not finished the maps properly and wanted to rush you along in case you noticed the mess.

Besides, I like being able to leisurely pick targets off before moving in to mop up the stragglers. At times it felt a bit like UT in the way you just had to charge along shooting anything that moved.
