I'd probably go with the anti-tank, because the MP5/Type 85/PP-19 are much more shitty compared to the M16/AK47/AK101.spoodie wrote:useful info
I've already got spec-ops and assault upgraded but still undecided on what to use my last unlock on; medic or anti-tank? I use both classes equally. decisions decisions ...
I find myself playing Anti-tank much more often now that I have the DAO-12.
Yeah, I know. I'm not saying you can't kill loads with the default Engineer guns, but the jackhammer makes you much more potent in firefights.Nickface wrote:Hey man, Engineer is my most played class. It's all about knowing when to hold 'em and knowing when to fold 'em. Knowing when to walk away, knowing when to run, etc.
I did get 4 kills in a row with the USMC shotty though...

Before getting the unlock, I actually preferred the USMC shotty to the semi-auto MEC one. I don't know why.deject wrote:Yeah, I know. I'm not saying you can't kill loads with the default Engineer guns, but the jackhammer makes you much more potent in firefights.

In one ear out the other.Dr. kitteny berk wrote:* Assault: G3 battle rifle (no grenade launcher).
* Sniper: Barrett M95 sniper rifle.
* Spec Ops: G36C carbine.
* Engineer: MK3A1 shotgun.
* Medic: L85A1 assault rifle.
* Support: PKM machine gun.
* Anti-Tank: DAO-12 shotgun.
I read:
Sniper: faaabulous
Spec Ops: Secretly faaabulous
Engineer: Boring and carries a calculator everywhere
Medic: Bandage Carrier
Support: Don't get it
Anti-Tank: Shotguns for tanks? WTF?

I play engineer almost exclusively, but assault sounds viable with the G3 (never used the grens anyway) or spec ops now that blowing shit up gets you teh points.
I'd like to try the sniper guns, but could never bring myself to be a cmaping fagort in a real game, prefering to sneak up on snipers and knife them in the arse. Isn't there a mod that lets you give them all a try (safely)?

Yup, that's about right. (just talked to a mate who knows his bf2)Nickface wrote:From what I gather, you have to have the original unlock in BF2 before you can go for the one in Special horses. So, if you wanted to use the MP7, you'd have to unlock that stupid shotgun thingy first, and so on.
seems the unlocks are easy to get though.
