Hehe, well, on the plus side, he isn't hitting you *per se*.
On the negative side, that's because he is Engulfing you.

You take 10P hits, but you can resist that with your Body+ half impact armour rounded up. In your next action phase, you can try to break free by rolling your Strength + Body against his Magic + Body. You get more hits, you break out. Otherwise, you get hit for the same amount of damage again.

So, Body + half impact please roman!

Believe it or not, we are still in the first few seconds of combat.
The drone isn't due back for a good 7-8 mins, if its sticking to its routine.
Gate guard doesn't seem to have noticed anything happening yet.

I'll be rushing over to take the earth dude out ASAP. Alternatively I can try going to stun damage, but that might not be much help either. I could start dishing out punishment faster though. Your call roman.

Actually, I think given the damage you did to it already, I'll have just as good luck going with Stunbolts as with Death Touch, and I can stay where I am for the moment.

On my go, I'll unleash some Stunbolt goodness on the earth spirit. I think horse 9 should be appropriate.

Stunbolt horse 9 (DV: 3)

Magiv (6) + Spellcasting (6) + 2: 5, 6, 5, 6, 2, 5, 6, 1, 4, 1, 2, 6, 6, 3: 8 hits.

Drain Resist (9 dice): 3, 3, 4, 6, 5, 2, 6, 3, 2: 3 hits.

w00t! unless the spirit gets some ridiculous resist roll it will be in some serious pain. hopefully it won't kill you before the spell goes off Roman. :)

Leland saves the day! (for the moment)

Stunbolt slams into the spirit, sending it sprawling for a split second before it dissipates. Chopper gets dropped to the floor, looking rather unwell, but still alive.

The guard at the front gate appears to be listening to something on his comlink, and is hefting his pistol. He hasn't moved from his post, but he looks more alert than before.

Al, you know from your corporate days that the standard procedure when a corp mages spirits disappear without warning is to alert the on site security head and investigate astrally. You have, at most, a few seconds before he turns up.

Joose is working out if/how I can obfuscate Chopper's and Leland's astral signatures left by the fight. If the wagemage were able to assense our signatures, it'd definitely make life bad worse for us.
