Since I know what Ordley looks like and the coast looks pretty clean, I am going to continue in to the room super sneaky still, and try to confirm that this is Orldey.

..should I roll again for this or does my last roll continue this action?

Last roll is fine, and you'd say this corpse is Ordley. Looks like he's been almost torn in half by the amount of bulletholes in him.

Sounds to me like his suppliers thought he was bringing too much heat on them. Maybe he was working for DarkNight...

I thought we already knew he was a big DarkNight dude? If that's the case I'm guessing either DN saw him as a liability, or the people who killed him weren't bothered about the potential DN repercussions.

I'll have a look at the body see if there's anything unusual:

Forensics: 7,8,+6 = 21
Detect: 1,3,+8 = 12
And another detect for the rest of the apartment: 2,1,+8 = 11

Boo, sucky detect rolls today. Only the plus side I have just noticed I'd been short selling myself on the forensics rolls - won't be making that mistake again. Can anyone remember what the original 10k Rads BPN was regarding Ordley?

From what I remember it was postulated that he wasn't necessarily DN, just peddling DN guns that he acquired.

They were investigating black market weapons dealings in downtown. We got Ordley's appt as their last known location, that's where we did that questioning and detective.. ing.

Our BPN is to investigate their murder. Methinks that the two murders are gonna be pretty related.
I'm also guessing that Ordley's been offed pretty recently.

Grimmie follows soon after, and comes to examine the damage.
Grimmie wrote:Urgh.. Nasty. Flashbacks of Mephit, here. See if you can find out how long he's been dead, Dirk?
I'm going to check to see what kinda ammo was used on him - might be the same stuff they used on the Rads.

Looks like Ordley has been hit by about 20 10mm HESH rounds, and not very long ago. It's done an awful lot of damage to him. There are spent casings on the floor, and it looks like the shots were fired from only a few meters away inside the apartment. There's not a great deal of anything else in there; a manky old sofa, an equally old TV, a few clothes in a bag in the bedroom, along with a DN 10mm handgun and a couple of magazines, and a few doses of Flip. Looks like the bedroom had been ransacked, but there's not an awful lot of furniture to ransack.

Kt'rr gives Grimmie a quizzical look, and then has a poke about the place, giving special attention to whether the door was forced open and if there are any other exits to the place.

Detect: 9,5,+4 = 18

After that (presuming nothing interesting turns up), he'll check out the rest of the corridor, see if there's any neighbours in that might have heard something.

Nope, there's not an awful lot to see in there. Looks like Ordley hasn't been there long. Venturing out into the corridor and banging on the door opposite summons a tubby, middle aged man. He admits to hearing automatic fire from the apartment about an hour ago.

Fuck. Whoever did it is likely long gone then.
Kt'rr wrote:I thank you for your time, human. Did you happen to see any individuals entering or leaving the apartment around that time?
Don't know if that requires any rolls, so have one just in case:

Interview: 10,8,+4 = 22. I ask questions good.

Man wrote:You mean apart from about half a dozen hookers? Yeah, three big guys came in and out a few times. I watched them come and go, 'cos they were weird. I reckon they were armed under their big coats, carbine versions of assault rifles, maybe DN ARs, I know they sell those in short versions. Thing is, they looked like old Chrome warriors. I saw the scars on their necks from the implants and the metal under their sleeves. I thought those guys were all cooped up in Rust Alley, hooked up to the mains, but who knows?

Hooker wrote:Adrian heard you were looking for him. He wants to meet you. There's a transit tunnel off the south end of this street, he should be in there at the intersection with the maintenance run.
Dunno if that is Rust Alley, but the dudes that were with Adrian "looked" like they were from there. Deej is sitting there in a dumpster.

Grimmie over comms to Deject wrote:Dejus, my bretheren. What's the score, what do you see?

The good Mr. Orderly is leaking red all over his apartment carpet, and we didn't do it. Looks like some goons came in and ripped him to bits.
I don't want to alarm you or nothin', but they also have hefty chunks of crome sticking out of them. Keep quiet, keep low, don't loose communication.
Grimmie turns to the others and gives a little stretch.
Grimmie wrote:Reckon we should look to see if there's anything linking Mr. Bleedy with the black market distribution that the Rads were investigating.
If we find something, we can close that BPN for them and concentrate on our own.

It might be worth giving our contact a little ring-a-ding to see if he's willing to cough up a little more information now that we've had reports of these bulky guys twice.

Copy that, there's not much happening over here. I haven't seen anything at all really. If they're here, they as good as I am at hiding. I'll sit tight for now.
Is it possible for me to do a more in depth visual scan of the area using my scope Dog Underoos?

First off, Grimmie: The apartment's pretty bare, but a flat piece of (greasy) carpet would indicate there was a stack of boxes in one corner. About ammo box sized.

Deject: What vision are you using?

All: Deject isn't in Rust Alley, but anyone with more than a few points in streetwise has probably heard of it. Rust Alley is a subway tunnel (the pedestrian ones, not the train ones) that is home to the old Chrome Warriors - obsolete veterans of a brief fashion in cybernetics about a decade ago. Their batteries have all run flat and nobody seems interested in replacing them, so they hook themselves up to the power cables that seem to be easily accessible in that particular location in order to stay alive. They're a sorry bunch of rusting, crippled beggars who were all once Contract Killers and Operatives, some quite famous.
