Patch 1.5 Beta

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

Code: Select all

============
Battlefield 2 Update v1.50
============
FEATURES
- Additional support for Windows Fista.
- Added Highway Tampa as a required map.
- Added a new map called Operation Blue Pearl.
- Added support for Widescreen resolutions
- Added support for the Novint Falcon controller - http://www.novint.com

GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
- Changes made to both the J10 and F35B to make them more balanced. Please note that the J10 is a superior dogfighter to the F35B and as such these two aircraft will never be equally matched.
- AA targeting tweaked to make it more effective.
- Added checks to prevent "runway grieving".
- Various changes made to prevent cheating.
- Tweaked the hit detection, hits will be more accurate to the model
- Increased the time to go prone after jumping from 0.3 seconds to 0.7 seconds
- Fixed G36E HUD during sprinting to match other weapons.

1.2 GB apparently, very short changelog.

Beware when installing, it'll probably break AIX.

Berk mirror to follow in a while.

I'm hoping they mean it doesn't crash when it tries to use my soundcard when they say "Additional Support for Windows Fista"

CTD'ing when I even just try to go to the Audio submenu is lamesauce. If it works, I just know I'll be playing matches all night. :(

haha, why couldnt they have made those gameplay tweaks right at the start? air dominance, terrible hitboxes and prone jumping have been the biggest complaints since as far back as i can remember

Yeah that is pretty funny. Good 'ol DICE, what's even better is that they didn't fix those in 2142 either, so I bet that's getting a patch soon as well.

No doubt.

It'll get a shiny future version of blue pearl probably. With a bit of snow and shineh future weapons. I attempted future beef again for about 2 minutes, it's still utterly fucked after the last update I applied. So I uninstalled it.

I was answering your question, I predict it's about a difficulty of 7 to fix your problem.

I have no issues though. (apart from I can't join games in 1.5 beta)

:lol: I was debating in my head whether that what you were actually saying or asking if I was using the W7 beta.
