Sidenote: These aren't PS2 compatiable (however, they do play PS1 games apparently.)

I went and read up on this because of science. The way I saw it was we'd dropped to 230v and the continent had upped it to 230v for harmonisation purposes.
But the reality is that it would have cost too much so they changed the +/- percentiles that were allowed. Ours is anywhere between 216 and 253v and the continent is anywhere between 207v and 242v. All they've done is horse manufacturers to create greater tolerances in their products.
So it's just the plug.

Only the very first 60GB PS3s had any sort of PS2 compatibility, and they've long since stopped making them.TezzRexx wrote:Sidenote: These aren't PS2 compatiable (however, they do play PS1 games apparently.)
I noticed Tesco are doing the 80GB model with a rumbly dual-shock 3 controller and LBP for £293, which isn't much more if you would have bought those anyway. I filled up the 40GB disk on mine pretty quickly.
