Spec me a monitor bros

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Spec me a monitor bros

Post by Sol »

Hey there,

Looking for a monitor with two inputs, DVI and VGA, which are selectable. Integrated speakers with audio line out is required too.

19" or above, below or around the £100 mark, please and thank you.

:bleh:

The Samsung SyncMaster have always pleased me on quality and price. I can't recommend a specific 19" as I don't own any.

I suspect you may be shopping for the moon on a stick.

I'd suggest a samsung syncmaster in 20"* but they have no internal speakers at that size/price.

You used to be able to get addon speakers for dell monitors, but I'm not sure if you still can, dell screens are pricy anyway.

I'd really just buy some separate speakers, any in-screen ones will be basically useless anyway.

*1680x1050 is a nice standard resolution, and gives plenty of space, 19" screens are a bit less standard.

I have a decent set of monitors and speakers :) It's just a case of the monitor being able to have a line out, as i'll be using the VGA with a TV adapter to run my 360 through it :) With a line out, i can run it into my speaker's second port.

I'm not too bothered at how big it is, just no smaller than 19" really :) I'll have a look at the samsung.

What comes off your 360 audio wise?

I'd've thought a 2 phono to 1 minijack cable and a couple of female to female phono connectors would do the trick nicely.

Yeah that's not a bad idea  It's a normal phono red white connector job.

Ideally, i'd like something like this but cheaper, and smaller.

I have the less available syncmaster 22", I'm very pleased with it but sometimes it seems a bit 'too' stretched, so a 20" should do you juuuust fine.
