This is probably why I don't like it then, or more accurately it makes me feel all "meh". I don't really understand the appeal of this mod.

It's more fun (imho) once you know the maps a bit more and great if you enjoy sniping. For me it has frustrations in terms of sheer number of vehicles, especially flying ones. But I find it has fixed a lot of things that niggled me.

Is there decent AA stuff now? I hated being heli-whored.

I don't know, but you can get sniper-whored instead.

Yes, but unfortunately, that's offset by the littlebirds having UAV (I know) scanners and miniguns/rockets.

Only difference is sometimes you can take flying crap down, but not enough as I'd like.

I'm gonna spend some time sorting us a map cycle that minimises air-based stuff.

This is true, and a particular problem on some servers, where it often ends up snipers + helicopters vs snipers + helicopters

It does a bit. But handily I like sniping and I'm quite good at it so I don't get pissed off.

Some of the generic AA sites seem incapable of catching the new planes, but the right click fire a camera missile is very good for killing things. As it the shoulder mounted anti-air dobber you can collect on most maps.

The little birds are a nightmare if you re-spawn on the same spot trying to kill it because it raged you, but spawn where you knows there's anti-air and tempt it in and it's a one (easy) shot kill with the stinger/strela.

There's a map pack that a few people have missed. Some of them are quite good. It's Here.
