So I guess we just wait for the Shivers then? I'll put in a call to Haynes about the bounty.
Haynes, this is deject here. I've been informed by Mr. Langley that the dead waster and his friend have already collected on the hunter sheet. Can you do anything about that, seeing as how he didn't even help us and even attacked me when I went to stop him? Or should I take it up with Investigations?

Haynes wrote:Who the hell is Langley? Well if the bounty has already been taken it'll be tough to get it back. It'll probably just get absorbed back into the system. I'll see what I can do though. Cloak are coming down to pick up those Ops you killed. I pulled some strings though and got some who might be more sympathetic.

Oh right sorry, Langley is a media type that has bought some footage from us and coincidentally knew the two ops that we just took out. I am not too worried about Cloak, we were legitimately defending ourselves against these two. We have it on tape as well. I appreciate the help though.

After about 10 mins and a couple of phone calls to find you a camera crew arrives. Langley isn't with them but you recognise the cameraman. The hot female reporter is new though. She's wearing a Padquil flak vest over her suit and identifies herself in a New Parisian accent as Mina Breton. For 15 minutes or so she chats to you about how what you did to get where you are, although it's up to you what you tell her, and then asks if anyone minds giving an interview on-camera. In the meantime her cameraman wanders about and gets some atmospheric shots to splice in.

With regards to interviews I am completely at your disposal - as whatever question you desire. Of course I may not be able to answer all of them, but what is life without a little mystery now and again? Then again if you wanted to ask any non work related questions I'm sure we could chat over dinner. Tell me, what are you doing tomorrow evening?

Oh I'm not sure if you're looking for any gratuitous gore and bile shots, but as it turns out our target here seems to have had a torture fetish, or at least one of her minions did. There's a dismemberment dungeon I can show your camera man. I think it might make good queasy TV.

Grim chips in.

Might be worth us doing a second sweep of the area before you go poking cameras into holes though.

About as secure as this place can be. The walls in here are filled with little cracks and holes that things could use to get in, but all of Mama's Boys scattered once she bought it. In any case, I should get warning of anything trying to sneak up on us.

deej to Spindle wrote:Hey Spindle what are you up to? We've been rather busy. Krutch is taking a permanent dirt nap, and her kids scattered like roaches. We're just getting the last bits of film for Third Eye and then we're bailing back to Uptown. Dirk got all his gear back, and we've got a fair bit of loot to return to the Company.

Well, Breton makes a few interviews (anyone with talky skills can make a roll to be more photogenic if you like) and Pete gets a decent amount of footage. If you let him he also gets a chippy deck out and takes copies of any footage you took.

Soon after they finish the Shivers arrive with two heavily armoured Ops. You recognise them from another BPN as the two Cloak Division Ops who used to work for Haynes. As the Shivers set to work bagging up bodies and equipment, the two Ops walk over. One is clearly a Frother, the other a human.

For the TV...

Persuasion: 10,4,+4 = 18

Communique: 2,6,+4 = 12

Charisma: 4,10,+8 = 22 (don't if I did this roll correctly or not)

To the other Ops...

Hello chaps. Damn strange day is all can say. Get burgled in the morning, go out looking for leads, get burgled again, follow up some leads and get a rather pissy BPN to finish off at the same time. Several leads later we end up picking up a Hunter sheet on the infamous Mama Kutch. Turns out two other Ops were on here case too so we teamed up with them - should have known that was a bad idea when that batshit crazy Waster fried a homeless man. Narrowly avoided getting blown up by a booby trap, planted a bug on a young girl, set off several bobby traps getting to Mama's place and then, in a rather anti-climatic finale, Deject shot Mama square in the chops before we even got a good look at her.

And that was the easy part. Turns out this two Ops were god damned psychos who turned on us as soon as the job was finished.

It's been an emotional day.

How about you guys?
