SteamPunk Frankenstein Computer
What is eight feet tall and made of brass, wood and copper tubing? I’ll give you a hint, it’s the SteamPunk Frankenstein computer made by D. Mattocks. Extremely impressive work, don’t you think? I snagged these three images from the Flickr photostream, hit the link to see the rest:

Is pretty, but the optical drives in that have been bugging me all day, at least try to stealth them.

Yeah, those optical drives need brass bezels on them, or at least, a brass panel fixed on a sprung hinge to flap open when the drive opens.

Why?

All that effort then leaving the drives uncovered. Looks a bit poo and draws the eye away from the other excellent embellishments the case has.

Anyone who likes this sort of thing needs to get to Hex at Alton Towers. it's brilliantly steampunk (sorry MJ).

Dunno really, something just irks me about it, probably the combination of the words "steam" and "punk", just doesn't sound right in my head.
But you shouldn't stop using just because I hate it.
