He lifts the shallow cup again, it's probably about one shot high.

Toys are what make life grand I say. Why bother with all the work if all it brings you is more work?

I suspect our honored hosts are just trying to make us wait fashionably long before giving us the pitch.

I guess I'll pick a colour other than normal blue.
Frank wrote:Well howdy N-zo. We've been lacking on computer and door opening skills, I've mostly been using brute horse on doors. Or explosives. Of course, you'll be a lot quieter at it and a damn sight quicker too which is rather useful.

:faint: so it is! Maybe I'm just RP'ing where the shadowrun adventure is actually happening in the simulation units on deck 3 and SHODAN moved in some SLA BPN stuff.

Ahem, 'scuse. I think I'm firmly straddling orange as my SR colour of choice.

Fucks sake guys, some of us have jobs we cant spend all day on the interwebs from. Ive only been home 10 mins!

Anyway...

The doors that make up one wall of the room you are in slide silently aside, and Sato-san gestures you in. The geisha girls take the empty teacups, ashtrays and whatever away.
The room that you can now see is not much different from the room you are in. There's very little in the way of decoration or furniture. To your left is a large set of traditional Samurai armour on a stand, and to the right is a pair of katana in a display. Neither of the katana have sheaths, and the shorter of the two, the wakizashi, is broken in several places.
Between these two is a low table, with a person sat behind it on what appears to be a fluffy cushion. Other than that, you cant see much, as they have a sort of robe thing covering their features. They are small, like a dwarf, but look lightly built. They also appear to be wearing some kind of two pointed hat under the hood.
They are quietly painting on scrolls in front of them. Those of you that know *anything* about Japan recognise it as Japanese calligraphy, but none of you can read it.
Sensei Kitsune wrote:Good evening gentlemen. I hope you did not have to wait too long. Please excuse me, I have a lot of paperwork to catch up on. I am Sensei Kitsune, but you may simply call me Sensei if you wish. Please come in.
The robes head area moves slightly.
Sensei Kitsune wrote:Thank you Santo-san, that will be all for now.
Santo-san bows low, and exits the room. The doors close behind him.
Sensei Kitsune wrote:As you have no doubt worked out, I am here representing a Yakuza clan. You are probably wondering what we would hire you to do that we could not take care of ourselves. Simply put, this is a delicate matter, in that no one outside this room may ever be allowed to discover details of the work that I am to put you to. It is a job that may require a diverse arrangement of skills, and no small amount of thinking on your feet.
The fee paid will be 160000 Nuyen, half paid up front, half on completion. The cost of failure will be death. Note that I do not make idle threats, nor is this meant as an insult to your capabilities. I merely wish to be clear on the implications of the job, so that you may back out now if you so desire. Before I move on to the specifics, are there any questions so far?
