A couple of minutes later...
I'll march back out to the two Kumi-in, stand in front of one and glare at him...Al wrote:Okay, patience tested. Now they're just being rude.
I'll examine him and his reaction during this tirade, I'm wondering if there's something not quite right about these two.Al, in English wrote: If your Oyabun wants to discuss business with us, I would expect it to be done in a businesslike manner. I'm not here to play games, and I don't appreciate having to ask for directions from Shatei.

I'll get out the car, stub out my red apple and head over to the lift.Frank wrote:Fuck it. Guess we all go. If one of these identikit types looks at me wrong then he'll feel more than a few sharp words from me.

The two guards have gone back to ignoring the world mode again.
As soon as you all get in the lift, the doors close. There's barely any detectable movement, but when they open again, you are on the roof. Damn fast lift.
The roof is laid out like a traditional Japanese garden, with a small Pagoda, carp pool, and carefully arranged bamboo. The only thing about it that does not look traditional is the amount of Japanese fellas in sharp suits standing about the place, looking mean. Unlike the guys downstairs, there is a variation here, from the smart business look to the extravagant, huge collared type. They are all looking at you.
Theres only one path, from the lift to the pagoda.

Nothing you wouldn't expect to see on a roof covered in Yakuza goons. Most of them are armed, either obviously or subtly, and those that aren't look like they probably don't need to be. Some are sporting Yakuza tats, extravagant designs reaching out of their shirts and up their necks, although the ones that don't appear to have tattoos probably just have them covered up. There's not a lot of augmentation amongst them that you can see, but one or two have the slightly wrong look that some internal implants leave people with. They are dead silent, apart from one at the back somewhere who may be chewing gum.HereComesPete wrote:Joose, did I see/hear anything unusual/different/of interest?
Apart from them, the only thing odd (apart from it being a traditional garden at god knows how high up) is a slight shimmer to the view. Looks a bit like seeing a hologram from the inside. Its probable that if you were elsewhere looking at the roof of this building, you would not be seeing the garden or anyone in it.
They keep their eyes on you as you go up the path. Just before you get to the door, it silently slides open for you. Inside is a shortish Japanese man. He's wearing a suit, but its much more businesslike than the goons outside. He bows, and introduces himself as Sato-san.
He bows again, and gestures into the room.Sato-san wrote:Please, come in. The others are waiting.
