Armored Fury and Spec Ops are good, Euro horse is crap.

If you don't want to buy them you should be fine, no one plays them anyways. I can't remember the last time I saw a server that was running Euro horse or Armored Fury maps.

It is a shame more people don't have Armored Fury, it's is a Anti-Tanker's dream.

I never really got on with it, the balance seemed all wrong to me, massive fucking maps where it was basically suicide to drive anywhere. and walking took on a Jops like risk.

Well the fast cars were safe to drive but anything slower is very risky.

only they were never anywhere useful, because they were used to get to the tanks/jets.

that's why you go as anti-tank, you can deal with the armor if you're coordinated and you have a support guy handing out ammo. The jets are a problem, but again, if you're in a coordinated squad you can usually cap a flag before a jet can make it over and bomb the shit out of you. It's actually better on foot in my opinion. The cars just make it easier to get around.

Usually, therein lies the problem. However, I do recall that 5punk squad was almost always at the top of the leaderboard, as even with our usual style of gameplay we somehow managed to be more coordinated than most! Strange but true.

Personally, I think that we just need a good few games of vanilla Beef 2, and if it has a resurgence then it might be worth buying another addon. I have Euro Faeces and Tank Whores R Us I think.

I think we were always relatively successful at BEEF because we had a couple of good individuals and we didn't suffer from the infighting that almost every group of people on the internet does. We might have occassionally co-ordinated, but it was the exception rather than the rule.

It's mostly because when whoever was playing squad leader issued orders we'd generally try to follow them. That alone made us miles more coordinated than most people. Only clan assholes would do that sort of thing usually.

I'll just point out that if anyone is planning on buying beef and/or the expansions then only Spec Ops is worth it, and only because when you first log in to it with your existing beef 2 account you got 2 free unlocks and access to a couple of different weapons (but they made those available anyway iirc)

Which was handy.

I've got that exp. pack as well. If you trust giving away your passwords then I could log in for people so they get their free unlocks

I'd definitely be up for this.

So long as the server lets people play the game and doesn't start restricting what people can do. Namely, air faggotory.

I think I have the spack ops installed but I've never actually played it...

Don't worry, I reckon It's very unlikely we'll have our own Beef server again, I'm certainly not interested in having to deal with that shit, or playing on a server that's populated by twats.

For anyone who doesn't have BEEF2, you can get the collection box in Game for about £7 or 8, and that comes with SF, AF & EF. So why the hell not :) and I believe all the games are on 1 disc to install.

I'm sure I got two copies of BeeF with all the trimmings when I bought my Raptors, but I don't know where they are now. Someone tried to install one on Fista 64 and it failed though, so I'm not sure if there was something odd about them.
