Fallout 3 achievements

Lo!
Is anyone else having the problem of none of the achievements unlocking on FO3?
I'm all logged in to the Windows Live thingy but I can't get anything

I have to say I've not even considered installing GWL.

Er, yes and no.

I can't have achievements as initally GWL wasn't all happy and clappy about my Windows Live (the online "passport" ones for msn and hotmail) accounts being used, so I started the game when I wasn't logged it.

Now it won't let me continue my game if I'm logged in, pretty stupid that I can't carry on an existing game but oh well.

I think it's installed with the game, you just have to login from the main menu if memory serves. I didn't notice this until I was part way in so missed the initial achievements. But I'm not a Gamerscore whore so meh.

Anyway the achievements worked fine when I was playing it. I kept being logged out at one stage, but that was fixed with an update.

I had that problem but if you play around with your save games folder you can put it on your live account. Can't remember exactly what I did, so check the net first

I logged into GfW Live from the start and I haven't had any problems with my achievements to be honest. Actually, I haven't had Fallout 3 crash on my more than like twice either so I'm guessing I've been lucky or something.

right, it seems that although I was logging into a profile, I wasn't logging into the live thing which is why nothing was working :eyesroll:
Updated the Games for Windows thingy and will see shortly if it works or not!

WIN!
I had to update the Games for Windows client, then patch it, then swear, then swear some more, then trawl the interwebs for fucking ages before finding a reg hack to make it work so i'm finally in!

Also this should make multiplayer on GTA IV work if anyone is having problems
