Hmm, balancing stuff between class updates. I think maybe they broke it a bit. I had a fleeting desire to play this on saturday, but then it was gone before I'd even clicked the making stuff happens button.

Having played with the cloak recharge and the upgraded teleporters, I can report they are AWESOME.
Difference between a teleporter recharging in 8 seconds and 2 seconds is wonderful.
Watching team-mates spill out of a spawn point at be at the front line of battle one after the other was great.

Which teleporter do you have to upgrade? Please tell me it's only the exit that needs the upgrade.

I suppose that is more logical actually. And you'll have the metal of the spawn point available.

You can upgrade either one.

The sentry gun is still too weak against any serious attack. Unless it's backed up by coordinated defenders, it will fall ridiculously fast. Even though you can shoot sticky bombs and destroy them now, it's still much too hard to get them away from the gun before there's enough to blow it up. I hope that if/when they get around to making Engineer achievements that one of them is a stronger/better armored gun.

Sentry guns do seem a bit weak now that the game is older and people have got used to it. Just firing two stickies and detonating them immediately will do a fair amount of damage to the gun/engi and can be done fast enough to not let them shoot them away, I'd like to see something that makes it a bit more resilient.

It's rare to get sentry gun kills once the other team knows where it is. It's almost not worth building in a lot of circumstances.

I disagree about the sentries - they shouldn't stand up by themselves against the whole enemy team - you get a pyro defending it and you're sorted.

Haha fail, it's been out for 2 days now.

As for the sentry, it's VERY useful. A coordinated attack indeed will not be destroyed by a sentry, but it can take out individual wanderers, pesky scouts rushing to the point, etc. pretty easily.

With one other sent and the upgraded dispenser, it sure is easier to keep them alive though

Yeah it is a bit easier to keep them alive now, if you have the time to set them up properly, but that's not a guaranteed thing either.
