I liked Casino Royale, it was what Bond *should* have been according to the books (Casino Royale is also the first outing for bond as a 00, so he's meant to be not as experienced), however...it's not Bond like the series had evolved into.

Bond in my eyes is very much meant to be about some nefarious villian or evil plot that's meant to be larger than life (barring Moonraker, that was too far into the lands of sillyness), the current films seem to lack them a bit.
The last couple of Pierce Brosnan ones kinda had it but it wasn't part of the main focus, just there in the background.

Tomorrow Never Dies in my eyes was probably the last Bond to be a "Bond film", rather then a "Bond film". It's got a megalomaniac, a massive corporation that's quasi legal and has the power to affect the world, a stealth boat and that ridiculous cutting torpedo thingie. Wasn't a bad film either.

I won't be viewing QoS (hmm, quality of service, how apt) along the those lines, it'll get judged against CR and the new direction.

Lots of very well made action sequences tied together with a bit of a crummy storyline.
Mostly Bond reconciling his buggered up relationship from the last film.
<strike>Fantastic chase scene in the desert to look forward to. </strike>

Hopefully, with all of his dodgyness sorted out, Bond will get a good story in the next film.
:above: Stop the shaky camera!!! Spend a few bucks and get a good one!

NEED a better villain, need better Females...ones that can actually act and put something forth instead of just a hot body(we have the internets for pron!), and a twist or two...something to think about...maybe?

Enjoyable...but lacking. Some parts real good, some parts meh...
