If you disarm minigun brutes they tend to storm you with frag grenades, it's not worth it.

Should we split this in to a Fallout 3 thread?

We could just go back to talking about Farcry 2. How do you kill Supermutants in that?

One does not simply do a back flip into a checkpoint.

Now that I have my PC back up and running, I shall attempt to complete Far Cry this weekend before Fallout 3 arrives, because otherwise I know FC2 will just be abandoned. I've been enjoying FC2 (up until my PC broke ~2 weeks ago) but there was very little in the way of variety so far.

Which was my gripe, it's all well and good saying it's a sandbox and you're meant to be doing things lots of ways to get enjoyment out of it, but I believe that's stretching it a bit with what's there.

There is only so many ways you can assassinate someone, and only so many ways to destroy a truck due to the limits on in game interaction.

Maybe I have lower expectations or a higher boredom threshold, but I found new ways each and every time. When I'd run out of new ideas on one type of mission I went and did a different, or stormed a few checkpoints or tried to find 'gliders and random high places to snipe people from.
