I want to kill the filthy non-deads. At least some of the time.

I get the impression it's not that easy to kill the good guys outright, you can slow them down or trap them so it's not worth the others coming to the rescue. So griefing may not be possible or as straight forward as other games.

Good guys get knocked down for a long time before they die, and even if they die, they respawn at the next checkpoint when reached. And the point for the zombies is to do EVERYTHING to kill the good guys, so I don't see the griefing point of yours. As far as I know, the game will do everything to spawn bosses apart, and trying to group up would just give an advantage to survivors as they get past multiple zombie hordes which would be more difficult with a boss around.

It's not my point, it was implied in previous posts. I'm not usually bothered by people playing however they like within the scope of what is allowed by the game.

It's high time we had a new co-op game, I'd certainly favour that mode until we've all played it a bit and know how it works.

I'll make a few L4D channels when the time comes, but I expect everyone will pile into the same room and get confused.

Mainly because I don't reckon it'll be very 5punky or long lasting on the PC.

It seems very much like it should be a 4 player co-op on ye old xbox.

If it is 5punky enough and lasts well, I might part with my monies.

How can 4 drunk 5punkers and zombies not be 5punky?

Long lasting? I really don't know, but with the AI director thing, I'm hopeful.

This was the major concern in the RPS feed we got today, and they certainly seem to have had their fears alleviated.

However 5punk and RPS/PCG do not always see eye to eye, as recent experience shows.

I personally expect as a 5punk evening game, it'll get done to death pretty quickly.

However, tis a coop game, and it will be alco5punk compatible, so I can see it being a great and lasting weekend game.

Werd at waw should hold the nights with same yet different high quality multi player.

I can see this lasting well for late night drunken lols as we run like little girls or charge right at a horde of zeds screaming incoherently and get everyone killed.

I quite like the idea of eating brains, so I definitely wouldn't mind versus play, plus it means more of us on a map at one time.

Deeeeeeej? Now you're back at school/college/kindergarten or whatever it is you merkins call it will you be partaking of l4d with us or just those shacknews types?

Also - as I just typed l4d I thought that looks like lad but in leet speak, then I thought of someone like parkie or dickie bird saying it as 'eee that's leet lad, I'm gan t shop fer milk and bread'.

well, I still don't have much free time around 6-7PM GMT, but I don't have any classes on Thursdays and I get out of classes fairly early on Tuesdays (I might be able to make 8-9PM GMT games), so I might be able to join in more, but I can't game all day, every day like when I was bumming it out.
