CoD: WAW Server.

Right, we has a server, now is just to decide settings for a start.

mainly, hardcore on or off? I've no preference yet, having had not played, so discuss.

Currently set up for TDM only, but if we want a shuffling of modes, that can be done.

Server is at 217.112.95.67:28962

Rules are as CoD4 for now, but they may be tweaked if we decide they need it. I sincerely hope we don't need to though, that shit with cod4 fucked me right off.

I've not tried Hardcore yet- the server went down a few seconds after I joined.

I wonder if the profile will carry over to the release version...

we should start without hardcore, i know most of us prefer, and are used to it, but the weapons are rather different in WaW, so i suggest we should give it a try on normal first.

It really is the same as last cod. The guns feel a bit puny and kill things really slowly until hardcore mode is on, then you die so fast sometimes you have no clue what happened. I say hardcore off until we've got an idea of the maps and spawns and whatnot.

And no jumping around with rocket launchers...

We should try going with normal mode on first indeed, at least while we're levelling. Hardcore is a bit harder now, you have to stop and check map, as you don't even get radars with UAVrecon.
