I just spent thirty minutes getting Steam Boat Willie to Mike's place.
The river out by Mike's is really shallow and I kept getting grounded, but I managed it.

'course, I can't get it out again, but that's besides the point.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

It's definitely playable, it's sucked 4 or 5 hours from me tonight.

I do find however it's a bit vague at times, but that's probably as I'm just easing into it and I've not done any story missions past the first one yet.

The malaria, "critial" health thingie, and the buddy thing is nice. I keep getting chased by jeeps though, which is starting to annoy me a bit.

get a grenade launcher and blow them to small, smouldering bits. it's a thing of beauty.

Yeah, until you get a grenade launcher, and assuming you're driving, mash C and turn 180 degrees, gun them down before they reach you.

It's not dealing with them that's annoying, headshots with the onboard lmg's generally sorts anything else unless they creep up, but it's more the frequency of the jeeps.

I'm just saying for a place that's meant to be remote and low on resources, they've got a helluva lot of old jeeps knocking around.

I did too. Then I fell off by trying to do things with buttons. It was messy.

I did try and hammer through a few missions last night to get closer to the end and get fa3 started. I got a piffling 6% done because I still like getting out the car and fucking everything up.

Whats the gold ak from? I've completed it now and I've never seen a damn gold ak!

editz - apparently I found one ages ago and because it was glowing as pick-ups do I just thought it was a normal ak without a stock. Ah well, the bushmaster and the jackhammer are better.

true, but the gold AK doesn't break easily, and it doesn't rust.

Also, i found it here, apparently there are a couple hidden in various parts of the game:

I never really had a problem with stuff breaking. Buying the ammo cases and putting my favourite guns in allowed me to get new ones at all my safe houses and I got 50 out of 57 of them. I never suffered a broken m249 either and I used them a lot. I used to break the .50 a lot, but that was through using it a lot. Never found myself more than a few minutes away from another one though.

Stuff breaks on me all the time. It's kind of annoying but it adds so much fear and drama to the game, in a round about way, I love it.

Y'know how everyone shoots at you?

Your mate is the one that doesn't

More annoying is when you do kill them it says "Mission Accomplished".

It should say: "You're an idiot!"

At least then I'd realise and could reload, instead of noticing 30 minutes later.
