Bear in mind that many of these reviews will be console reviews, and as such will have a far lower expectation than PC reviews, leading to lots of OMG BEST GAEM EVAR!!!!1!

I'm hoping it doesn't have the problem I had with Oblivion, which was that I lost focus and got bored.

Which is why I like FC2, there's a lot of story/guidance there, but you don't have to do it if you don't want to.

Even if it's no better than Oblivion I will love this, if it is better than Oblivion I might die from lack of sleep and food.

Ah, bit of a shame really, it's still got good marks but there's scope for it.

I'm a bit suprised by the comments on the dialog being not brilliant, that was one of the biggest things that made F1 and F2 amazing.

Still, I'll probably enjoy it, just not as much as the first 2, then again, it may become amazing once someone mods it, much like Stalker did.

I think the problem with this may be that a prolonged combat against a town of bandits in a turn-based squad game is quite prolonged and tense, and often varied. It might translate into a guns-blazing one-man-army shooter as an FPS. However, if I had to do scenarios from Fallout 1 or 2 as a FPS I'd probably do a Bobbins too.

I'm pretty sure I will end up buying this the first tiem Steam stick a sale on it and I await the reviews of 5punkasaurs eagerly

(apparently FFX has no problem with the word 5punkasaurs, numbers at the start?)

Firefox seems to ignore words with numbers in them in the spellchecker.

It also tells me I spelt Firefox wrong.

Just cancelled my FO3 order, I can't justify spending £45 (or £25 for that matter) on a game that I'm pretty sure I'll not enjoy.

I found Oblivion kind of dull. Hitting various things with a sword got old, especially as the scenery isn't that varied.

Also consoles are better than PCs.

Yep.

If it's more of the same but with a much better setting (post apocalypse is ALWAYS better than high fantasy) then I'll like it

If they've improved (or tried to improve) on Oblivion's flaws I'll like it.

Its similarity to FO1 or FO2 is irrelevant.

It should really tell you that spelt is a type of grain and you should have used the word 'spelled'. :P

Conversely, for me it'll be enjoyable if it's a FPS version of Fallout 1 & 2, but I agree that I much prefer the post apocalyptic setting. Other than that I'm pretty much with Spoodie.

:)

I did resist being baited by your negative comment about consoles further up.
