Speaking of F5, I think it doesn't overwrite your last quicksave like most other games do.

The fact I have almost 300 saves taking up 900mb suggests this to me :)

It also explains why my game is so slow when I try to do full saves

No spoilers. Just a random assassin mission.

:boogie: That's the kind of mission I've been wanting in this game!! No blasting through henchmen, just a sneak up high on a hill, watch the target for a while, learn his pattern and BLAT from 800 metres away. God bless .50 rifles. :boogie:

Or sneak in with the stealth suit at night and stab them in the gut as they wander past. Or lure the entire base onto some ieds with a few gunshots into the air then wander in and shoot the target as he tries to hide. Or use mortars. :likesitall:

I've not got as far as all that fancy guff yet, but I have made a point of capturing all safe houses on the map using nothing but the machete.

i just bought the sneaking suit, but do you have to equip it or anything? They still seem to spot me quite easily. i also heard some speak Afrikaans, wich is pretty funny and surprising.

Sneak suit doesn't do shit in the day unless you're miles away with a sniper rifle. Good in the dark with silenced stuff though, can get within feet of them and give them a bullet to the head, or drop an ied. I think the south african types turn up as your rep increases, they generally have better guns and wear some armour.

Things I've learned from Far Cry 2:
- South Africa is a rich place. Every motherfucker has bags of diamonds and a GPS.
- Just think of a place where you want to go and the street signs showing the direction to said place will turn into pleasant magenta.
- The human vision is a 360° short radius circle.
- The native language of this part of South Africa is English, some even developed a pleasant North-American accent.

Shhhh! Don't speak out against the game, you'll be put on a checkpoint and used as bullet fodder for such a crime!
