I think it would be 5punktastic to have a 5punk chat room. We could get one on MIRC (www.mirc.com) for free. Or a online one (As long as it isnt java, Java makes x64 cry and bleed and blow up .
It's an idea a few people have suggested, but it would take away posts from the forum, and you can create a chatroom within Xfire if we ever desperately needed it.
I have however been thinking about setting up a DC++ server for 5punk (p2p hub based file sharing software) for us to all erm.... chat on of course :D
just for idle banter, i doubt it would detract from the forums.
It may however kinda replace the discussion board?
i might throw one togehter on the newly sorted http://5punk.robeastwood.co.uk and see how it goes. Just to test things out. if it is not benificial, its gone.
If you use mIRC to join a random server (someone I know has one) and then just use /join #5punk it makes a free room on someone elses server. Piece of piss. narf.
Don't waste valuable 5punking and online shooting time by creating a chat room, it's not gonna get used, If a few of you want to chat together use group chat in Xfire and invite people.
Here, have some cheese to remove any silly notions of irc from your cheese starved brains

It's been tried at b3ta, m3ss3ng3r and 4rthur in the past, none lasted more than a few days
