We, on the other hand, have a brilliant reputation for special needs. So we have a school full of idiots and little shits doped up to thier eyeballs on ritalin. And maybe three *actuall special needs kids*.

dell are rip off merchants FACT!

they just LOOK good.

if they were a celebrity, they would be paris hilton. looks good but not much is going on inside.

building you're own is more fun and cheaper. i use ebuyer.co.uk and scan.co.uk. overclockers.co.uk can be good too.

what's good about ebuyers is the reviews for the components. nowadays you need 1024mb ram and a decent graphics card for most games and applications.

i still love my crappy 1mhz, 512mb, vga on board, sound onboard piece of shit i use for playing divx on the tv downstairs through the network

i installed cod on it, jesus christ, so much texture was missing haha. i still love it though *kicks pc to stop fan noise*

Also, we use dozens of Dells at work and out of the four manufacturers we use they're probably the most reliable. All our servers are Dell too and the customer service we got when one of them died (leaving me in work all bank holiday weekend, grrr) was excellent.

Got to admit, we use dell servers too, and the support for them is ace.
One of the actual servers was a bit buggered to start with (eating RAM like penny chews) but they had it sorted fairly sharpish.

You'll have to burglarize my office - I've ordered them at work, I don't have that kind of money, and I build my own (usually out of "spare" parts)

We use Compaq/HP servers, all the others seem tacky and cheap in comparison.
