Chopper turns up back at the stairwell, a huge grin on his face.

The ghoul wailing was cut suddenly quiet when the grenade went off, though you can still hear movement. You are all back together at the top of the stairwell that goes down to the bottom level now. So you are all heading back around to the security door then? Or is Leland going to the central room first? And if so, is anyone going with him?

if the door is locked I'd like to try using Levitate to try and horse it open. We have no clue on how many routes down the ghouls have. I'd assume they have the stairs/lift shaft area, but they might get in through vents, or dug through to the central lab area from above. We've got to get somewhere to hold, if we smash the door on the security room in, then we end up trapped in that small room near the stairs/lift, and although it'll concentrate them, I don't doubt we'll be overwhelmed.
I think I'm right in saying that because the doors lift shaft was torn open at the top, they will be at the bottom, we could ninja up that whilst the ghouls head down the stairs, the middle level, their floor, maybe the lift doors are closed?
All these 20 pages have left me confused as to what the fuck anything is like on previous floors. I think we have these options
1 - if we risk whatever the fuck is in the middle the ghouls may find it tasty, or run away from whatever the fuck else is in there. We may end up regretting opening the doors. It may save us.
2 - security room, we could try and get in, time is short. If we do, then what? Try and use computers that might not be in there? Get trapped and overwhelmed or find uber ghoul killing stuff.
3 - ninja the lift shaft, hope the ghouls don't like using it. I've got a pair of gecko's if anyone need them, I can use brute horse on the cables or whatever to haul myself up. We could end up trapped in a vertical box, gribblies above and below, or bypass them completely and I could detonate the lift/stairs in the process.
4 - go back to the sub-basement and try and hold that. I don't like this, it's no better than trying to hold any other place, but it's furthest away from freedom, does only have one definite entrance however.

I want to see what's in there, and in the central room. I could turn on my internal lung so I'm breathing pure air and have a peek in after the fights over.
We could fuck the ghouls up and then have a look round in the security room and in the central bit. I'm thinking the sensible option in ninja the lift, we won't have time for you to get up and get a rope down if it's 30 secs. You've got gloves, Deej can float, I'll haul myself up and I'm guessing Al would need my gecko's.
sort of edit - I just found my character stuff, it doesn't mention gecko's, I was sure I bought them, but maybe not. I did notice that my browning ultrapower is actually loaded with explosive ammo, so that might be useful for anyone wanting a better weapon. I've got my other pistol as backup too, plus my machete if things get very personal.

Sorry guys, but talking takes time! (god, that sounds like some kind of catchphrase)
Theres a series of noises best described as "schhhhhhck", and you notice all the little red AR signs (that you can see from here) have gone green.
However, you do hear, from below you (down the stairs you are standing at the top of) two loud THUNK noises.
Deject, your detect enemies spell tells you the ghouls are on the move, but other than a general downwards trend, you cant tell where they are exactly. The background magic count on this level is playing merry hell with the spell.
