Add Mirrors Edge to that and you have a list of all the games I'm looking forward to, with the exception of CoD 5, I'll have to see how that one turns out.Dr. kitteny berk wrote:Spaz mostly, There's just a clusterfuck of games from now until december.

Far Cry 2:______________October 31
Left 4 Dead:____________November 7
CoD 5:________________November 11

The only game I'll probably be buying around release time though is Spore, I want to wait until I have a decent PC to play the rest on before I buy them.

Shit. I hate buying more than one game at once. Something always gets overshadowed even if it's excellent.
Having said that, Left 4 Dead is my only likely pre-order- mainly because there's usually a discount for doing so, but also because I have no doubts about its quality.
The rest... I'll be watching with interest for something to say 'buy me'.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky and Left 4 Dead are my two most anticipated games by a big margin. Fallout 3 looks like it could be awesome, but I'm waiting until they show a bit more of the game before getting really excited. For me Spore is a game that I'll pick up if everyone loves it after it's released. I'm not going to be to bothered over it until then.
I'm planning to only buy one of those games at a time and spread them out over the next year, no doubt there'll be another drought next summer but I can still be playing these games if I don't get them all at once.Stoat wrote:Shit. Fallout 3 is a bit of a strange one for me, I'm looking forward to it because if oblivion is anything to go by then this will be brilliant. From what I've seen though I don't think I'll like the combat system, pausing the action to select body parts to attack will completely break the immersion imo.deject wrote:Fallout 3 looks like it could be awesome, but I'm waiting until they show a bit more of the game before getting really excited.

Me too, probably. Management games, no matter how amazing they are supposed to be, confuse me.HereComesPete wrote:Spore doesn't really grape my squildo, may well sweep it though.
Due to the last overload I completely missed that Oblivion is very good and didn't play it beyond finding the first oblivion gate. I've rediscovered it having got bored of wow grinding.HereComesPete wrote:Too many gaems at same time is annoying.

creepy. I was going to post my opinions, then Roman did it for me.Roman Totale wrote:Fallout - it excites me
Spore - promises much but I have a horrible feeling it will be crap
Stalker - didn't particularly like the first, won't bother with this one unless it's getting rave reviews from 5punkers several weeks after the initial hype has died down.
Left4Dead - yes
