Deject is right, but missed a bit.

You should be fine to just swap cards, but I'd suggest, at the very least removing all the nvidia graphics drivers using drivercleaner (it can still be found for free)

Obviously, a full reinstall would be the most reliable way of removing the old drivers, but it's a pain in the arse.

I'd certainly consider drivercleaner to be very strongly recommended, while not critical, it'll avoid a fair few fuckups out of the gate.

yeah, it's a very good idea to do so. though I'm typically lazy about that sort of thing so I don't do it very often.

I only do it when driver updates have heavily fucked up, and if changing between graphics cards.

Yeah, I love drivercleaner. I used it recently when Steam games did nothing but crash and it seemed to fix the problem, and I planned on using it before the swapover just in case there could be conflicts.

I ordered the card yesterday night and it might actually arrive today. Fastest free delivery ever if it does, fuck yeah dabs.com :D

I use drivercleaner between old drivers and new, don't need to but I have had bad things^tm happen.

CC gets a run every now and then to scrape out the installer/temp file goo that accumulates. It is another rather good tool.
