USB port not recognizing mouse (again)

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

USB port not recognizing mouse (again)

Post by Gunslinger42 »

A fair while ago the usb port my g7 receiver was plugged into stopped working properly, the receiver/battery charger was still getting power but the mouse just wasn't responding. I tried drivers and that didn't help, then after someone on 5punk said to try a different usb port I did - and that worked fine. Until now. Same exact thing again.

I'm running out of usb ports.

These are ports on your motherboard I take it? Do other things work in them?

i think it will be driver related.

Did you use a slipstreamed or drive image based windows install by any chance?

Fista or XP? I've had my mouse stop working in Fista. It's a common problem.

Did they figure out what caused that? I used to get t on my Laptop before I kicked it in the fuck and formatted. It's been dandy since then.

Yes, the ports are the ones on the motherboard. Everything else works fine in them.

I don't use a slipstreamed/drive image based windows install.

And surprisingly the first port that stopped recognizing it now works fine again.
