Where are you all? I've been busy at work this last week, got back and hardly anyone online.

I noticed Hobos left Insrg, what's the scoop there? What you guys up to?

What's BSI up to?

Butter balls and lilan got amazingly emo in the command section over C4 being made alliance leader. Threw a big spack of Well, if I have to take orders from him I'm leaving. Darth said they did, they said they were going to leave on good terms, then (and I didn't see this, so it could be BS, but with Lilan I doubt it) alliance mail gets spamed with how insrg is in cascade failure and that we're all stupid and this, that and t'other.

BS.Is rebuilding without me, I'm taking a nice long break from eve for the time being. Turns out I really prefere having a social life, enjoying the sun (which is sorting out years of issues with my skin, funny that) and just doing general stuff I should have been doing years ago narf

Fairy muff.

As for ETNY aka Project Alice alliance...well, it started well enough. We nicked an ex-Tri station and some moons in Fade and were settling in nicely as a small, elite group. Had a bit of a panic when leadership realised how few dreads we actually had, then suddenly there's this massive influx of new corps which as lowered the tone massively. Last op was a pathetic clusterfuck narf.

Will have to see where this goes, but I too feel a bit of an Eve break coming on while things settle down a bit.

C4 is a massive cock, and everyone in Hobos agrees.

We had decided (unanimously) to leave a week or so before Darth stepped down, but were just holding out because we got free empire wars. The alliance was basically dead/useless and looking at the killboard has only gotten worse since we left. Too many n00b corps had joined and just watered the skill/determination levels down I think.

As soon as C4 was given leadership he immediately removed, without warning, all Hobo's forums access so we couldn't even say goodbye.

We held out for a bit so we could help defend the heavily armed Prom moon we had put in reinforced and to hand to Celes. But C4 did nothing to form any kind of operation, we would have easily ganked 2+ capitals as it was 13 large pulses and 4 neuts all faction. We clicked 'quit alliance'.

We're now having empire fun having wardeced Majesta Empire and some pirate corp. Waiting to go into FW on June 10th for a while to see what that's like, and then we have a new alliance we will join who I'm told are like insurgency in their pre-space-holding prime.

Personally I'm having a month out of Eve to play AIDS.

If there was any alliance mail spam, not that I heard or saw any either, then it was likely aimed at c4 being a cock with the forums. You'll notice how he mutes CEOs and FCs in command channels when they don't agree with him. We had planned to go out very amicably until c4 threw his toys from his pram. You'll be surprised how many people have spoken to Hobos, mostly ceos/directors of insrg corps, since we left agreeing with our position on c4.

Internet spaceships are serious business.

not been up to much for ....erm.... ages actually

One of the big problems that I have (my open plan flat meaning bubble gets kept awake by eve-bumming which leads to no eve tiem) is being solved at the end of july when we're moving into a new shiny mahoosive flat with spare rooms and everything :likesitall: so I'm gonna give eve one last try then. I've been trying to find a way to turn over a bit of isk offline (trading and that) but it's a lot of effort for quite a lot of risk and it's tough to get enough turnover to make it worth the grind and then I've no time / inclination to enjoy the isk I've made. The only solution is to commit more time but I'm not sure I'm willing. Bloody game designers and their bloody .... whatevers .... :x

Planning to break over the summer anyway as I'm off to Spain then Canada for 6 weeks

if I let my account lapse without renewal, I can reactivate it later, yeah?

Well after some small successes in Fade and some fun playing with the locals, it would appear that the ex-MC crowd have come along to grind an axe with Mynas. Or something, frankly I don't know and don't care but they're bringing all their supercaps and titans along to play, which will be about as fun as sticking needles in our eyes.

As I posted on the ETNY forum, bitterness and squabbling between old friends makes Eve an unpleasant game to play. I long for the good old fashioned campaigns against mutually respectable targets, without endless drivel on the forums from spies and propagandists.

Question is, are there any alliances like this anymore?

Don't think so, games too old, too many grudges that people want to settle getting in the way of good clean fun

Having a blast in Ushra'Khan, just come out of an empire campaign against some RP enemies which included some really good fun fights. Moved back out to our 0.0 home, and preparing for faction warfare and trying to get a bit of recruitment done.

Incidently im very dissapointed to see 5punk join a CVA pet alliance. *insert emo rp*

*cough*Intel gathering*cough*

Ahem.

Meh, i've not really played eve since the height of the ISS clusterfuck, and that was a while back. Occasionally logging in to train skills, but with no real personal objectives, just going for new toys that i probably won't use in anger.

Might just give FW a go when it comes online, but i'm seriously considering just putting both accounts into hibernation.

Meh, we'll see how it goes...

It's a remarkabley awful alliance, hopefully it'll be useful for getting some of the new 5punkorp members into 0.0 but other than that... the alliance is pretty useless. I sent out a corp mail encouraging the horde of new members to come to the forums but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears, I'll start badgering louder, maybe incorporating embaressing titles for those who don't listen? :P

Not a whole lot to say on my front, been inactive with family/exams recently but gonna get play time soon and get back to helping Dres get 5punk going again and whoring isk for a capital.

I think membership is a bit spring fevered at the moment, not many peeps logged on this weekend. Another op is definitely in order to get some turnout and bring some isk into the new plan for 5punk, which is build caps.

The allliance we joined has woken people up to joint ops more than our membership could support at the time of joining. They're young, not overly experienced, and as far as that they fit the pace of 5punkorp currently.

5punk may receive some isk infusion to jump-start cap production with a few key bpo's. We've plenty of mining types that are actively sucking roids and making isk off the corp, which is building quite the min reserves since ISS quit ordering ships weekly. However the isk to keep buying those mins is now provided by a corp voted on tax rate of 13.37%, which is working out fairly nicely. So far the corp has only had one major isk raising op, and a few small donated ops and some individual donations.

atm though, without the alliance, there wouldn't be any reason for caps within the corp! We're happily mining in high sec in a 30-belt system with absolutely free refining. (no tax or loss on Dres) With the alliance, we're aiming for a low-sec pos to mine at, then 0.0 ops when we've got membership that can support them.

5punkorp is aiming to stay self-sufficient whatever the alliance does though, with caps and mining as quite strong foundations for more.
