Speaking of thread revive....

My replacement emergency laptop from Friz has died. :( I think it's a power issue, as it went into hibernate mode. The battery has always been dead, but now it's acting as if it's not getting power from the cord, so it's either the power supply, or the adapter block in the cord itself.

Sorry Fab, hope somebody was able to help you test your tank!

Tried many non-damaging things yesterday, no avail. Going to try the 'light bummings' for unsticking things, then go to slightly heavier bummings.

Worst case scenario is asking a friend of a friend to take a look at the two and see if either is repairable, and see if I can get that done at cost + a case of beer. Said friend of friend was unavailable until first friend was hired on at work and able to make introductions, so maybe luck has improved in some small way.

Fab, you might need to take a look at titles and issue some to the new peeps. Send me a PM if you have any questions about what is what!

and then this morning I though, hmmm, if it's the AC/DC block that's not giving the laptop enough juice, (and perhaps needs the bumming), what if I give that a little 'jolt' by unplugging/replugging power to it? Just happens to be what the PC gods wanted, and it's back up and running!

For how long, who knows, but I can type this message on it!!! :)

/me tries to log on now....

:w00t: Nice one Dres!

On the subject of hiatus taking, you can add my name to the list, I've not played properly in god knows how long so I've cancelled my subs for now (current period runs until the end of August) however if anyone wants to take on my character (or account) while I'm not using it you can do (Most likely for huge fuckoff tanking things or mining bonuses) give me a shout and I'm sure we can work something out ;)
