Bioshock: The Movie

Post by tandino »

Hot off the press, Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring remake) is to direct a movie adaptation of Bioshock

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/ar ... ?id=188633

According to the article he sees it on the scale of Bladerunner, rather than the slightly comedic PotC. I'm hoping that it'll avoid the Mario movie route...

Could be interesting!

Trev beat you to it :)

I dunno, it could be a good film as it's linear, and quite theatrical, plus the Big Daddy's at the start are really special rather than just being in a room as an enemy.

If it happens, it'll probably be swept first.

You'll only be able to watch the movie if you have a broadband connection though, and even then you'll only be allowed to see it at three cinemas/on three DVD players before you're never allowed to watch it again.

Gore Verbinski has signed on to direct a BioShock film, with plans for a Portal movie in mind too.
