Does anyone else here Twitter?
It's a little "micro-blogging website" that I've actually become quite attached to, and offers some decent talking points with friends, as you tend to write mini blog posts more often than you would a full-feature post. Like a little running commentary of your life.
I use it as a kind of easy-to-update facebook style status thing.
There are a load of desktop and firefox plugins for it, so it's very quick to update. Posts can't be any longer than 140 characters because one primary use is being able to use twitter from a mobile phone.
Give it a go, I found that I actually quite enjoyed doing tiny updates, even though I was really cynical about how much I would use it, or what the point was. It's mostly technogeek people using it, as well as some high profile people. Barack Obama uses it to give updates on his campaign trail, which is nice.
5punkers using it so far..

Calling it blogging was bound to put people off. I don't blog or like reading blogs. I would compare it to the "what are you doing now" status thing on Facebook. It doesn't take much effort to create an account, add us and try it. But I wont make it an order, yet ...

While I agree with Mr. Deej that I really couldn't give a monkeys about what everyone is up to (and suppose the world gives even fewer monkeys about what I'm doing), this almost makes it worth it:
