Trackmania United Forever server

Post by Nickface »

I have gone through and made a TMUF server with 5punk branding on it. It's a 10 slot sever and it uses tracks I made about a year or two ago from my TMN days and when I was messing around with TMU tracks as well. If you want to find it, go to "play online" then click on "all" then "united states of america" then "michigan" and you should see it right there in the list. I'm not too sure how long I'll keep it up and whatnot. I'm also looking for ways to keep track of stats and such.

While people have mentioned this doesn't have Starforce anymore, does it have some other sort of copy protection instead? I grabbed the Steam version and it won't start under Fista 64 and that's usually the reason.

As far as I know it's starforce free. I have had no problems running it under Fista 32.

I got a stats plugin thing working. I'm not too sure if my router is configured properly. If someone could do me a favor and see if they can get on the server, that'd be wonderful.

Is this still up Nickface? I had a look about but couldn't see it.

Also, if people are bored they could do worse than TMN/TMU. No more Starfarce, it's free (well, TMN is), and I have my actual RL car in game. How cool is that?

I've looked for it too once or twice but never found it. My son and I love the game, he loves making tracks, or downloading super-hard ones and then making daddy fail on them over and over and over and over..... Are you pants in TMU also Mr. Pants?

No, it's down. I can get it back up relatively painlessly, though. Any interest in it?

I'm playing the game on and off, if it was up I'd probably use it when I do play. I like custom track servers, but most of the random ones out there seem to be the kind where the trick to them is knowing where the hell you're supposed to be going.

Yeah, my philosophy has always been to make a track that people can get a good 4 or 5 attempts at least on a 5 minute server.

I'll boot up the XP install on my laptop tomorrow and see what I can do.
