So I have £4,000 To spend,

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

ntune is evil.

try http://cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php

edit: IME, windows not booting right when using a certain cpu usually means something is either running too fast, or not getting enough juice.

Drivers fixed that little problem, and now all runs..sort of smooth. Odd BSOD but had that on my old system because of strangeness with my Killer/Razer AC-1 drivers.

Personally, if they were more affordable, i'd be interested.

Agreed, They are EXTREMELY overpriced. I reckon £99 would be alot more better. It is really nice but its also very new, I installed Beta drivers which have been reporting alot of BSODs. Tomorrow I'll reinstall it and use the old drivers on the CD as I never had one BSOD on that.

lols, Last update on this rig I hope. Managed to get my Q9450 working with the help of Berk! Upped my DRAM voltage, it finally booted at 1.8v, and is now stable at 1.82v. CSS stress test runs at 399FPS. Mwaha

Tomorrowz is Push it to the Limits Day! My CPU is running a bit hot atm( idles at 45,load at 56). But I can fix that easy enough because I was lazy when I put the Q9450 back in I didn't re-apply any new AS5 paste tut tut. Then Im going to try and get my CPU to 3ghz and ram up a bit. Apprently, Tomshardware found my Ram the most overclockabled DDR3, Its the OCZ Platinum one, and it blasted the heatpiped Reaper o.O Strangeness eh? Well Ill report back tomorrow if it doesn't go boom..bang and pop.

There, after finding out HWMonitor was lying, and RealTemp told me my cpu idled at 28-32c. I OC'ed it this afternoon to 3.2Ghz, Super Pi now does 1m in 13.200, a 3.3second reductions. Lovelyness :)
