Anyone been playing with this yet?

I've just installed it, mainly because I can.

Mostly it seems like firefox, but faster, slightly lighter, with a slightly different gui.

not sure about the downloads window though, that's a bit horrible now.

I tried beta 3.
It asked for my Master Password every time I opened it, instead of whenever I first needed it. That annoyed and discomforted me.
I'll wait until it's finished, I reckon.

Also, I hate the IE7 MASSIVE BACK BUTTON, but then I don't have any buttons at all in my current setup.

I just tried it again and it doesn't support all the addons I use yet, or rather the addons are compatible. If I can't use del.ic.ous or adblock I don't want to use it.

Tried it quite a while back. Wasn't impressed,but then it was like the month before pre-alpha would have been released.
Must say, while I still use FF as my main browser, I'm increasingly impressed by Opera. As with spoodie I live and breathe my extensions/addons but if Opera ever did an Adblock that incorporated regular expressions and a few others I'd be switching.

Fortunately, the only addon I use that's unsupported atm is greasemonkey, so not really a killer for me, adblock plus is fine.

I've tried opera in the past (but at the risk of sounding like hehulk) didn't really like the interface, that was probably opera 6 or 7 though.

Note: Just had a look, still not keen, but it's much better. however given their fairly poor reputation for bug fixing, I'll give it a miss.

Things I liked about it, particularly at work:-

* It's built in RSS reader copes with RSS on a system we use at work (admittedly this is a fault with this system and not producing proper XML, rather than Operas being great, but still)
* Having a secondary (and non-IE) browser is handy for me as I use a lot of web-based apps apart from the above, and running them in my main browser invites trouble if I hit a problem web-page or other thing that makes FF freeze up. (Session restore is useful but not a be all and end all)
* I found the speed at which renders web pages compared to FF is impressive, again, very useful since I rely on various web page applications.
* Startup speed is good too.
* Built in torrent client

The first 3 points are more to do with my situation at work, which may not relevant to others, but I thought I'd share anyway

You can also try the Nightly Tester Tools extension- it can disable version checking.
You might encounter borkage, but chances are a lot of your extensions will only update the Compatible Version Number anyway.

I'm using it now and it seems quite nice. My addons work and maybe it's a little faster.

Release Candidate is out, but I wouldn't update just yet. Some extensions are actually broken rather than just "incompatible*".

*version number not high enough.

Think I'll stay on 3.5 for now then.

The download window is horrible like berk said, but I'm used to it now.

The only add on I struggled to find was mouse gestures, they hadn't been updated in ages, but I found fire gestures which are superior, which is nice.

I haven't really had any problems with the various betas so far, which is also nice.

I'm on FireGestures too after moving from MouseGestures. I'm a bit lost if I'm without it now.

I would be too, which is why I was waiting, but Mouse Gestures finally got an update last week. Don't know if it's FF3 compatible now though.
