Dungeons

Post by Roman Totale »

I have a few Dungeon missions that I could probably use a hand with - one in Ragefire Chasm and a couple in Undead land. I'm fairly sure other people will have some by now too, so shall we pool our resources and have a crack at them some time?

Also, we need a WOW post icon.

I also have some Wailing Caverns missions. Also, even after I have done my wailing caverns missions I will happily do them again and again. There is some excellent opportunities for skinning/leatherworking in that place

I've got one in Ragefire and one in Wailing Caverns. I'm always up for a dungeon - you need a few people so it'd be best with 5punkers.

I only have the one for Ragefire you pick up right outside it the moment, but I'll try and collate the info for all the available quests for the early instances and post them here.

While being boosted through or tagging along during an instance run is great for bulking up on materials and great loot, you really get huge XP gains if you've got all the quests for them first.

That way everyone can get set up in advance, even if we do go through them all a few times as some of the choicer morsels don't drop every time.

I have one for Ragefire Chasm although a trip to Ogrimmar or Crossroads will probably net a few more.

I also have three for Shadowfang Keep. They're red at the moment but won't be for long I shouldn't think.

Red just means they're hard, if you've got 'em, you can do 'em - although you'll likely need help.

Most of you will by now be pretty high level for Ragefire Chasm, so 3 or 4 of you could blitz it no probs. I ran a couple of people though Shadowfang today and will happily do that again, though a group of level 20+ can do it no problems despite what the dungeon guide suggests (the bosses drops some nice loot too - check the Loot table on wowhead to see what's available). Wailing Caverns is a bit longer and a personally hate the place, but will run people through if you're struggling to get a group together. Same deal for Razerfen Kraul, which will be next on your list.

I'm up for whatever. Even if I don't have the quests I'll get involved. If I'm in-game I'm probably just exploring solo somewhere (at the moment), let me know.

Last night's dungeoning worked quite well. The run with Friz was good for xp and goodies, although I got my arse handed to me whenever I strayed too close to a grobbly (they seem fucking magnetically attracted to me, even charging through other players to spang me as I'm stood at the back picking my nose. What's with that?). After that we got a group of five of us and did Ragefire, and between about levels 15 and 19 we did quite well. The quests weren't such a big problem as we could just share them before we went in.

I will be happy to do any instance that it is possible for me to go through. I am at the point where I need to be thinking about whether or not I will be speccing holy (healy) or shadow (damage) holy is good for dungeons and a must at higher level ones.

Holy is like the healy-specced characters in most games of this type. A bit like a goalkeeper, every team needs one, but they only get noticed when it all goes wrong.

Last nights dungeon session was most fun (twss), and cheers to Friz for running us through Shadowfang.

I still don't get the key to what colour some missions are. There are some that show up as green to me that I get absolutely spanged on.

:above:

The colours do seem to be kinda random.

I think they're related to how difficult they are for some pre-decided and unshared team size.

I did a green one earlier that was in Northwatch Hold, wasn't particularly easy.

Once it turns green, it's not worth the effort, just drop it. Red-yellow many many xp, green little xp, gray no xp.
