Right, I'm having le problems with stalker, it keeps crashing on 1.00005 after plugging in a weight hax (the automagic one suggested on here).

So chaps, what mods are top for preserving Stalker (aka, nothing stupid added like everything at first trader or having no degradation on items)?

I need suggestions please :)

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with any of the mods at all. They got rid of the need for the Float32 mod, and IMO the first time through should be done without a weight limit mod. If you really want, I'd say get one of the item repair mods. It's not as lamestain as the no degradation ones, as it still has some costs but you're not completely fucked over either.

i still have a trainer if you want it, it allows you to;

- have infinite Health
-have infinite Ammo
-have infinite Sprint/Stamina
-Give 999999 Money
-0 Noise/Visibility Bars
-Mass Kill everything
-Disable All above.

alas, no weight hax.

I'd concur, except this is technically my 2nd for most of the game, a wipe and upgrade meant I lost my saves just before Pripyat, so I'd done 2/3rd of the game.

And 50kg including weapons did take the piss, though if I must I must.

Mr Johnson, that's the exact thing I'm looking to avoid, it ruins the game, I'm looking more on the line for the mods that fix stuff and unlock things like the disabled repuation, unlock (and fix) the disabled subquests among other things.

I would do the whole "well it gives them more time to get it right" thing.

but stalker took forever and was still iffy.

well, that is true, but the original plan for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was way too ambitious to pull off, and the wasted a shitload of time dicking around with it, until they figured out wtf they should be doing and dropped a lot of the stuff. I think with this one they know more what they should be doing.

Derail:

Speaking of Crysis, I never gave the full game a go, is it worth a sweep and some of my valuable game playing time?

How will performance be on my machine?*, the demo didn't run very well but then I didn't fiddle with the settings much.

8800gts 640mb
E6600 (OC'd a bit)
2GB 6400
(I guess I want to run it at 1920x1200 too)

Performance will be utter shit. my machine didn't see 20fps average at 1650x1080.

I played the demo and hated hated hated the motion blur. I can't remember whether it turned off, I just stopped playing, I found it even less enjoyable an experience than quake wars.

I may sweep at some point to play the single player, but I expect that after watching KV play a bit that it's just farcry with less monsters and more koreans, more cars made of explosives and a shit storyline.

you could probably get performance up by making it look like farcry.

but then, you might as well just play farcry.

I reckon it'd have to look look shitter than farcry to make it run the same.

Quite fancy some farcry now.
