The definitive 5punkorp rebuilding thread (tm)
Ok, rebuilding 5punkorp is officially underway! Old faces are returning and getting set up in Goram to support the rebuilding efforts of the corp. Jack and Thelonius are being uber supportive of bpc support, and I think we have a WIN recruiting method in the works to get people onboard and flesh out our ranks.
Goals/benchmarks---->
----> Recruit 10 pilots (minimum) from each race using frig tournaments. (We'll camp out in a noob spawn area until we have 10, them move to another race, rince repeat w/ different frigs, which corp will provide & possibly insure, if that will work).
---->Corp training. We have to be a unified horse before anything larger can happen. CEO and appointed director types will be tasked w/ training and fun ops. Twice a month will be ops designed to line the 5punky pockets w/ some isk. Of course the 5punky mining op, but joint leveling missions, (we willl have some noobs), low sec pirating, trading/hauling, or whatever we come up with. The rest of the month will be directed toward individual ops for pilot isk, and training. Focus will be on frigs/cruisers until they are somewhat proficient and don't go boom too often.
---->Corp fun. horse-on-horse wars to develop FC's and balanced attack unit tactics. Races w/ gate camps to run/man. 0.0 forays to see who can get the farthest from home before getting podded. Silly song contests on mining ops. 5punkier the better!
---->Corp rebuilding. Build/earn isk for/strategic corp assets. Freighter. Capital/s. (Yus, long-term goals, you'll see what their aimed at shortly), Rorqual, Jump freighter, Death Stars to hold some sov. This may require a second tier of membership/recruiting. Recruiting/kicking will be required to maintain us at 40(ish) active members, w/ 'active' to be defined as 'able to support the corp in fun or profit on a bi-weekly basis'. If it is determined we'll need a larger player base for our ultimate goal, we will have to grow to attain it. (Provided the 'ULTIMATE GOAL' is still in affect, ofc).
---->Ultimate Goal. Take/hold W9-DID.
Any questions/discuss?

W9-DID may be a shit place to live, but if you treat it like a BUM style bait trap it's awesome. Slap a POS up in the middle of hostile territory on a pipe and pirate till your eyes bleed. You have the 3-SF constellation as a bolt hole and you're far enough away from CVA and IAC not to bother them.

Nope, the mining would not be set up in a stationary area, hence the jump freighter being listed. (This plan from Hulky) Jump into a nice quiet corner, set up a POS to park the rorq at, deploy miney ships to strip some pretty ore's. Compress, hop all back out w/ aid of jump freighter to somewhere we can refine it. There would of course be ALOT of cost involved, but handy to get into those back systems and mine.
Oh yeah, and jump freighter could haul plenty of smaller unassembled ships that could be unpackaged at the POS. couldn't it?
Would be shiny to pull off with about 20 miners... :D

Of course you can hold a director spot, provided you don't mind piloting big POS killing ships from time to time, (once we're ready for that sort of thing!) It'll take awhile to grow proper capital pilots, so if you promise to stick around and skill for it, we could definitely use your help!amblin wrote:I'd like to request honorary director status in 5punkorp though I can not at the moment promise to accept responsibilities. Maybe in the future, my interest in the game is coming back gradually, and what you want to do with the corp is very interesting indeed, I'll help out when I can!

Ok, besides the fact that Fea WILL have a bit more isk to remain in his pockets than planned, I wanted to touch on a couple other points from my posty post that started this. 5punkorp will be shooting stuff, industry is only meant to support that, not be the be-all end-all for the corp. There will be people that are tickled pink to mine vast supplies of veld in Empire, (to be bought by the corp), and there will be those that want to get blown up to keep the veld orders running, (and may have to mine some veld to afford their new ship!). It is my hope that we can find a balance so that nobody gets neglected! Delegating to directors is my primary aim for doing this, rewarding the directors is something that I will need to work at so they don't get burned out from trying to keep the fun level up for their teams.
Remember 5punkships? The pre-made ready to fly packages we were going to sell? That's my plan for the frigs for the tournaments. Simple fits on low-skill ships, and a hold full of ammo. Most noobs with the accelerated starting skills should be able to hop in one of these after the tutorial, find shooting things to be fun, and run off to Goram to start their 5punky career. Pirating in low sec and missioning should keep their pockets lined with isk for skills, if they don't find the relative safety of mining to their liking and 'go industrial'. The profit to the corp will determine how much we're able to support the members, but I forsee a well-stocked 'loot' hangar and plenty of demand for 5punky ships, (corp insured, ofc!)
As things progress, we'll need to hold tournaments to keep the membership numbers up, which will open opportunities for new leaders to become involved and help the corp begin to truly grow. I'm roughtly estimating we'll give away 10 T1 frigs for each quality recruit we gain, over 40 peeps, that's alot of ships, but 40 peeps is ALOT of pilots, assuming they're all quality pilots and able to help the corp as they themselves continue to grow.
Back to the topic of W9-DID, it would be uber to take and hold it, but there's no point short of sentimental value. So tossing up a POS to house a 5punk reunion pirating session from time to time does sound quite charming, especially if every alumni brings their capital so we can pound on the neighbors. If we were to merely chase out the locals that are housed there, I would take that as a major 5punky victory, even if we don't build a station at every moon so that Sov is guaranteed! (can sov be flipped if every moon is camped in this way?)
Viva le 5punk!
