For various reasons that I won't go into here, I've decided to leave ETNY after only 3 months in corp. I'll be moving all my gear out of Period Basis over the course of the next few weeks (going to take me a while) before formally quitting. As you may have guessed, I've been asked to join Hobos and, possibly against my better judgement, have accepted.
Meanwhile, if anyone has any gear left in J8 this is your last chance to get it shifted back to empire. Contracts to Manorina please, preferably in marked cans or courier orders.

I've tried to vote myself in, but it won't let me run!!! Says I can't....
Fix'd w/ a little Hulky help, should be CEO tomorrow night, and able to make people's into directors and such. Sounds like Honza is going to come back as well, and Elotane is getting moved to start mining. Hopefully Bomber gets his roles dropped and applies again soon, we might pull off a mining op this weekend!
Oh, and since MC don't likes me, it won't let me remotely repackage my ships to get them free of their damaged crystals so I can contract them to Mano!!!! What else can I do remotely?!?!

Hobo's don't have a CEO, it's just a title, and the takeover was/is part of an ongoing joke of Algey's when he's drunk that he has total power and we must bow down, so Lilan used his shares to vote him from CEO. There's nothing aggressive and it's caused much amusing banter on the forums.

That about sums it up narf. Thank fuck I had the foresight to move all my shit out of Period Basis before I left for Senegal. I was on the brink of joining Hobos when I got back, but quitting ETNY as BoB attacked would be cowardly, so I decided to stick it out until the end. For those who don't forum whore or have any fucking clue wtfiboa....
MC is cascade failing. They're dying harder and faster than any alliance I've known. The in-fighting and bitterness is pathetic, leadership is utterly ineffectual and people selling out their alliance all over the place.
We all prepared to put up a big defence in H74 [the first system that BoB was due to attack and within jump range of the J8 home constellation where NR was based]. Lots of allies were gathered and we moved capitals into the system. But when BoB finally attacked, we had no FC's, no regroup was called and the line we got from alliance leadership was reminiscent of the BBC test pattern "We are sorry but disagreements at leadership level have rendered us incapable of functioning at this time. Normal service will resume shortly." Our allied fleet was vapourised and there was barely a single MC pilot to be seen in local.
So BoB rolled straight on to 1-N, the entry system to the J8 constellation and MC's home. We were told we'd put up a blistering defence with round the clock ops. Yet again, nothing happened and our gang of 40 support ships vs BoB's 250 and 4 titans could do little more than watch.
And then we got DD'd inside the POS. It's a pretty shitty tactic, moreso when you already have a huge numerical advantage, but especially when it requires a POS password that has been given out by one of our own pilots. Turns out one of the ETNY guys had a titan in the cooker and sold out his alliance in the hope of saving it. That build job's been cancelled now. All 95bill of it.
MC will fold just as soon as we've evac'd all our remaining stuff to empire. From a personal point of view I'm rather sad. I had huge admiration for MC and was overjoyed and proud to become a member when I finally had the skills and ability to apply. To have the alliance crap out on me without doing anything meaningful since I've been here is somewhat disappointing.
narf I'm not sure I like the look of the TrInsrg fight up north either - is it any fun? Think I might go play WoW for a bit.

Once we've secured our home systems again (in a couple of days I think that's completely done) apparently we're going to spend 2-3 weeks just roaming gangs only getting fleet ops if needed for defense...
