making the server unranked makes you level 1 (on our server) and then you have to work your way back up again. this will most likely kill cod. so it's not an option.Baliame wrote:So who needs ranked servers anyway? Removing it would remove one of my problems without any possible temptation. We're almost all 55 by now aren't we?
Fluffy happy request tiem.

Ahhhh Chickenz it used to be fun when you used to get me with your noob-tube and splatter me all over the walls, it's all good fun and that's how it should be seenChickenz wrote:I've already discussed this with Berk and will put a cap on my noob-toobery. I'm pretty damn sure I don't hop like a twat when I use it but I apologise in case I have done in the past.

I played it on the PS3 this weekend. The guy who owned it had done 2/3 of the single player and only a little multiplayer, and despite using controllers rather than the mouse and keyboard, I kicked his arse. He wasn't at all happy.
Not normally a fan of console shooters when compared to the PC, and found that general accuracy was rubbish, especially for snap-shots. However, knowing the maps inside out turns out to be a big advantage!
One of the standard classes for MP on the PS3 includes a m249 with an acog scope, which I may try out tonight, just to make sure that it's as shit as it appeared to be.
I find hardcore to be a fair bit more fun, and it's almost like cheating now when I play normal cod and have a map. It does make ninja-classes a bit more effective though, because people can often rely too much on the map.

Yeap, I saw one last week, it was obvious he was using wall hacks of some sort as every time he was looking my direction-ish, he'd manage to always be aiming and ready for me to appear from cover/come through doorways etc, even if there's no way he'd know I was there.deject wrote:speaking of cheating, has anyone else noticed a lot of cheaters getting PB banned in the past couple weeks or so? On just one server, over one evening I saw at least 3 bans for aimbots.
The only time I managed to kill him was by sneaking up behind him.
He got PB'd during the next map iirc.

Like bloody mombot. I do lol at the fact that people pay for the hax and don't even turn off all the scrolly crap like 'cockface headshotted nublet1010 using mombot'. Have a haxx0r video.

I've just stopped playing COD, and not being on TS gave me quite an objective view of the game. Guys, when did 5punk become a bunch of smack-talking idiots? Apart from maybe one random, all the stupid comments and smack was coming from 5punkers. I came to 5punk (so to speak) to avoid shit like this, so to see 5punkers as the main perpetrators is pretty disappointing. I was quite enjoying the game too, but it was just embarrassing and I'd hate for me or the site to be associated with it.

People always complain about noob tubes and martyrdom, and it's easy to overreact in response. I only saw a few comments though, and I saw a lot of smack coming from us. I'm not trying to bollock anyone, 'cos it wasn't our server, but it made me wonder if I wanted to play the game outside our server if that's what I'd have to put up with.

I was part of that last night
I'm getting fed up of the people on the Cr0x server, the same two or three people start bleeting, then generally spliffycr0c starts threatening to wave the ban stick around claiming it's against the "rules", then once someone challenges him about the rules, he just starts being a tit and kicking.
I can't help but wind people up when they're being twats.

Whilst I admit that it can be annoying the way they go on and on about martyrdom, it is their server at the end of the day. People got kicked from our BEEF servers all the time for much more banal reasons (compare and contrast how full they both are/were).
I don't generally look at what is being typed in chat, but I have noticed the smack talk is getting more common - and I just don't think it's the 5punk way. Whereas in the past we have responded with daft comments and general gibberish, the general reply these days seems to be along the lines of "omg u noob, your shit but we're really good". Now that really pisses me off because we end up sounding like the "clan fags" that a lot of people moan about. We're not a clan, yet more and more we seem to be acting like one.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't give shit back to people who dish it out, but I am saying we should try and be less up our own arses about how good we are*.
*Remember - 5punk: we're shit.

I also don't look at the chat that often but I do see a certain one or two CONSTANTLY talking smack in the chat box.
It's not 5punky and we should only use the chat to mimic in a comedy fashion; typo's (NOOB-A-DEE TUBE-A-DEE!), smack talk that is retarded and/or involves the word N00B/pwned.
Oh and possible retaliation if we're receiving smack talk but we shouldn't generate it. which is happening at the moment.
