Well as people keep asking me here we go.
first of all i like to say it was one hell of a fight, but many things reflected in our failure:
1: over 15 bships stranded at a JB that didnt have fuel, then 10 min later, someone decided to guide the 15 + to system where main fleet was engaged
2: we spent too long focusing on primary, of which was constantly being repped by others throughout the fight ( we should of noticed, and reacted a tad bit faster)
3: some ppl shooting none primary targets
apart from that FCing was good and we did an amasing job at getting together in the 1st place, well done to everyone involved regardless of outcome, only loosing our ships will make us learn (we could do with putting 1 remote armour rep logistics ship into the gang)

Yep the jumpbridge sucked but 'luckily' it was the last one in the chain so it was only 8 jumps to the fight. Although invites were terrible (and sensibly there was no fleet location given in alliance chat) meaning people had to guess from TS where the fight was. Therefore they were warping in blind, ending up close to an enemy focused on short range dps and dying.
Another problem was that serveral people including myself were seeing Hydra and about 1/3 of PURE as neutral so as we were not invited to gang you had to check each neutrals identity by pulling up their info page. Some more hasty people had blue on blue moments.
Finally logistic ships should be primary, they created a uber tank that just soaked up the dps while they killed us.
EDIT: one last thing that lost us ships was that someone on TS was barring IPs, I assume this was to combat a spy but it ended up getting my corpmate kicked from TS and him loosing a ship as he didn't know what was going on.
EDIT 2: Just had an idea for an improvement in fleet. They seem to like primarying Drantis so lets get him in an abaddon with a full T2 tank and trimark rigs and a couple of armor logistics ships By the time they realise he's not going down and sort out a secondary we could have popped 2-3 of them

I allready lost my ship due to blue on blue but I noticed that we were engaging in 4G or in 4H and Hydra support was nowere to be seen during the first engagement.
Another problem was that the MC gang was setup for remote repping close range tactics. Most of the BS in the gang were setup for long range sniping. Fights took place around the gates so this was another advantage for MC.

i have an explanation for this, after i lost my ship, i decided to haul my ass to hydra station system to get a new ship (btw they had fkin nothing, bits a pieces), when i jumped in, at least 20 hydra were camping a BUBBLED gate, the basically took there time, set up a bubble and camped the gate, and by the time i managed to shit fit my new ship, there was still bout 6 on the gate and bubble put me 15 km away from gate, so i ended up slow boating to gate while the rest of our gang was heading to EIDI chasing MC back to empire
meanwhile, HYDRA then proceeded on coming the 4G & 4H to take advantage of the wrecks we provided the area, how nice of them
considering this was HYDRA space, there was a pathetic turn out from HYDRA that can be nothing less than depressing. But on the other hand, we showed MC that if they come near us, we will stick a hot poker up there backs before we allow them walk in our systems. A cheers goes to FC's who had to do something during the panic, ofc it wasnt what we would call, our ideal situation, but on a first day of war we have proved at least one valuable lesson, WE WILL BRING IT!!
And to be fair, they did. So we went back and killed a carrier that was sitting at their POS, just for good measure.
