Eve Section

Is hardly used atm. 5punkorp, the Eve version of a guild, pretty much went dormant when all the active players moved to separate corps, all of which have their own forum and so there's little need for the Eve players to use this section anymore. We do hang out in the same chat channel in game tho and it may be that from time to time we'll need a 5punky place to talk Eve. Also, the content of both the Eve and hidden Eve 0.0 sections represent quite a lot of work and history and it'd be a shame to lose it completely.

I'd suggest if possible to archive both sections for posterity and bung an Eve sticky in the other MMO's section. Maybe create a separate CoH section as that seems to be getting quite a lot of attention atm?

I don't think there's much need for CoH to have its own section, there's only like 2 threads that get used.

Probably worth doing a cleanup of the other MMO stickies into a few indexy type stickies though.

Funny, your last post (in the intro forum) made me wonder as to the Eve forums' futures. There's no way it would be deleted, but I was considering suggesting a merger of the 0.0 and Eve forums seeing as there's not much use for a hidden forum now that 5punkorp is mothballed. It's a nice inside perspective of the rise and fall of ISS too, for those who may be interested. I'd say keep the Eve forum though. It isn't used much at the moment, but who knows about the future. The game's always popular and it might be needed again. As for a CoH forum, we've had it before and although the game is popular it doesn't actually get posted in very much.

Should we decide to merge Eve and 0.0 (this is just me talking, it hasn't been discussed), is there anything in there that might still be sensitive? Naked pictures of your horse or something?

Nothing sensitive in there anymore. Things in Eve have changed a lot in the past 6 months and most of those entities no longer exist! Merge away.

I still have access to both sections, but both my accounts are inactive and have been for about 2 months now. I might come back one day, but right now I am happier backstabbing heavies in teef.

The merge sounds like a spiffing idea.

Good point...the 0.0 section was created as a separate group with me as the mod so I could add/remove members without constantly bugging an orange person. You could ditch the group now too, just to keep things tidy.
