Sorry, I made the stats for these guys then stupidly lost them, had to get them together again. So, combats! Sort of...

You guys are *slightly* slower, and these people had the jump on you. Two guys spring out of the ground behind you, on either side of the gate, and a third pops up directly in front of you. A fourth seems to appear out of thin air next to him. All but the last have large pistols pointing at you, and are sporting rather nice looking armored vests. The forth is a rather skinny ork in an armored jacket, apparently unarmed. However, his attire, the fact he was apparently invisible and the fact that Leland's spell didn't spot these guys points to him probably being a mage.

Before you have a chance to move, the ork mage shouts:

Clearly, he didn't put any points into Witty Dialog during character creation. As jumping up, pointing guns at you and shouting was all they were doing this combat turn, its you guys up next. First is Al, then Chopper, and finally Leland (who is down the road a bit anyway, and doesn't seem to have been spotted yet.)

Unless anyone objects, I think what I'll be doing is heading round back one of the nearby buildings and floating up to the roof to get a better vantage point.

Joose said this would take a while, so you'd be on your own at least until I got up there. If you guys don't want that let me know and I'll try to think of something else to do that won't give me away.

Also it's worth mentioning that Joose said I really don't have line of sight for now, so I will need to move somewhere to cast any spells.

Chopper places his copy of War and Peace on the ground. Aware that they are currently outnumbered and out gunned, he decides to let Al try it his way for the moment.

Just in case that doesn't work, he's got his axe inside his overcoat within easy reach, and the pin of a flash grenade ready to be popped with the slightest pressure.

If he was that much in the know he'd know there was more than two of us. I'll call his bluff.

Chopper wrote:Hey, good looking. Yeah you, you dumb ork. You think we're that stupid we'd walk into the meeting place with the box in our hands? Think for a second, and I know this might be strain, why the fuck do you think we turned up early in the first place?

See, the way I see it this can go two ways. We can have a ruckus now - you may kill us (but think of the havoc just two people did against a whole warehouse), but we certainly won't go down without a fight, and you'll undoubtedly take some losses yourself. Not only that, but our contact turns up in 15 minutes and I can only imagine that the sight of an almighty fight in their "secure" meeting place would discourage them somewhat. Oh yeah, and you can kiss goodbye the chance of finding where we've stashed the box.

Other option, and I'll talk in a language you might be able to understand (other than grunting that is): money. We supposed to be getting paid 500Nuyens each for this job - I'm sure you can understand why we're not too happy with that meagre offering. So tell you what, make us a substantially better offer than what we already have, and maybe we can talk terms.

If not, then bring it on.

He gives you a cold look...
Ugly Ork Mage Guy wrote:I will admit, hoping you were that stupid was perhaps wishful thinking. Unfortunately for you, your buyer not getting it is an acceptable alternative to us not getting it. Drop them.
That last bit was clearly aimed it his buddies. so...

ZOMG BULLET TIEM!

Gentlemen, roll your initiatives.
Deject, as that little chat would have taken a short while, I'll say that (pending a successful levitation casting) you are on the roof of the warehouse to the left and behind the mage. No one seems to have noticed you yet. You are a little way away, but within range of being useful in combat, so you can join in now.

Right, for the Levitation:

Magic + Spellcasting: 3 hits

Drain (2 to resist): 4 hits

Now my initiative: 1 hit for 7 Initiative

I'll probably be casting Stunbolt unless you guys are far enough away for me to cast Powerball.

1,6,6,3,2,4,5= 3 hits, initiative 10

I'm going to make that mage wish he'd worn a Ruger-proof helmet.

4,6,5,3,6,5 = 4 hits, plus 6 = Initiative 10

Assuming me and Al are stood side by side, I be the one on the left. I'll be planning to pop the flash grenade at the people behind us, then going into a berserk rage with my axe.

Well, the gun wielding goon fires at Chopper from behind (ooh-er), but Chopper goes all magic ninja on him and dodges. The bastard.

Roman is up next!

If you want to chop the guy in front of you, its an Agility + combat skill + any modifiers from your magics + 2 (for a charged attack)

Chopper decides to lunge for the <strike>mage</strike> other guy in front of him as the bullets whistle past his bottom.

Agility (5) + Blades (6) + Improved Blades (2) + Charged Attack (2) = 14

3,2,6,4,4,2,5,2,6,6,6,4,1,5 = 6 hits

How far away from Chopper are the two guys at the gate? I'd like to catch them both with a Powerball, but I don't want to catch Chopper in it. If he's too close, I'll have to use Stunbolt and take them down one at a time.

Do it! I have Spell Resistance, so it may lessen some of the damage.
