X-Trac InstaGlide & Mad Dotz COMPETITION!!!

Post by Woo Elephant Yeah »

As you may have noticed, 5punk has been advertising DEX systems.net for a while now, and that's because they are offering a free raffle to win some X-Trac gear here at 5punk :D

What do you need to do I hear you ask?

Well providing you have posted at least 10 posts within this forum, you just have to reply to this message, and DEX Systems will randomly generate the winner, and ship them to you for free.

Once the winner has been chosen, I will speak to them and sort out address details etc...

What this X-Trac stuff all about?

Well I have just received, and tested the following, and here's a quick review of the products :

X-Trac InstaGlide

Now, before I added the X-Trac Mad Dotz to my Logitech MX 510 mouse, I thought I would test this out without them, to see what difference it would make to someone buying it seperately.

Well, I opened it up, and on the back it said to just wipe over the existing mouse feet. (Which were clean by the way)
I was very dubious as to how a sponge in a bit of plastic could make such a difference to mouse movement, but once I rubbed the sponge over the MX510's mouse feet, the mouse then zipped over the mat.

In fact, it would literally slide really fast at the slightest little tap I gave it with my finger, and on one occasion it slid across so fast that it fell off my desk, and hit the floor

DEX systems claim that this will last someone a year if they use it every 3-4 days, which is not bad bucks for your money!

After cleaning the bottom of the mouse and it's feet with the alcoholic wipe provided in the pack, I then applied the Mad Dotz to the feet of my MX510.
I then found the mouse to zip around a lot smoother than it had always done previously, but not as fast as it was with the X-Trac InstaGlide.
I tested it out within Call Of Duty (as you do) and the movement was a lot more controlled than it ever was previously, and there were more dead germans mounting up infront my screen than usual :aww:
However it didn't feel as zippy, as when I used the X-Trac InstaGlide, so I decided to use them both together.

Now, this is the money shot, as basically, when using both the InstaGlide and the Mad Dotz, the mouse zips around really fast, but was more controlled than it was without the Mad Dotz.

What you get is a really fast and zippy mouse, but one that is easy to control at the same time.

These products are so cheap, and I'd recommend them to any gamer out there with an optical mouse.

So remember, reply to this message if you have posted more than 10 posts to be in with a chance of winning the above :boogie:
